Grotesque murders committed based on the Seven Deadly Sins. Brad Pitt's rocket movie shot to fame.
Grotesque murders committed based on the Seven Deadly Sins. Brad Pitt's rocket movie shot to fame.
As far as thrillers are concerned this is one of the best well-written and cerebral kinds. Although one gets to see the killer for only a short time, one still gets a depp impression of him throughout the film. John Due left an everlasting impact on me. Spacey has shown once agai...( read more)
This is without a doubt one of my favourite films of all time. Brilliant performances from both Freeman and Pitt's portrayal of a rocky relationship of master and apprentice, as their very different lives become intertwinned as the film progresses. An emotional roller coaster o...( read more)
My favorite Brad movie. The scene at the end is so sad and heart wrenching. He did an spectacular job. Kevin and Morgan were great too. Scary, dark, twisted and interesting. What's in the box?
A perfect detective thriller. The actors do a top notch job, the script is great and Fincher creates a mood so thick you could cut it with a knife.
Great cast living up to expectations. good stuff maynord! Some of the most imaginative kills in cinematic history. the end was a lil disappointing. The cat was out of the bag the minute I saw the van.
An early Fincher film, and an amazing use of the seven deadly sins in regards to the plot. Nothing is ever predictable or too unbelievable, but still maintains originality and authenticity, all down to the very end.
Brilliant direction coupled with awesome acting in this serial killer flick with a great shock ending.
Totally Awesome. David Fincher did it again, his the king of mystery. He really did it this time.
Too bloody and desperate for me...but I do understand the innovation and beauty that everyone sees on this film, I simply don't find it attractive.
Unique serial killer using the seven deadly sins to determine his victims. The ending just blew me away. I loved how the music and visuals set the mood from the start. Dark and somber to downright horrorific. Some scenes are definitely not for the fainthearted.
"Innocent? Is that supposed to be funny? An obese man... a disgusting man who could barely stand up; a man who if you saw him on the street, you'd point him out to your friends so that they could join you in mocking him; a man, who if you saw him while you were eating, you wouldn...( read more)
"Ernest Hemingway once wrote, "The world is a fine place and worth fighting for." I agree with the second part"

Se7en is a cerebral crime thriller that generates suspense and encourages the viewer to think rather than be spoon-fed the answers.

The creepiest, most insidious and clinically brilliant thriller ever made -- and that INCLUDES Hitchcock. A 360 degree vision of modern urban hell -- capped by the scariest serial killer you ever did see -- which paints a disturbingly true picture of the world we live in. (The f...( read more)
Having moved to one of the most crime-filled cities in America, the young and headstrong Detective Mills (Brad Pitt) is partnered with the older and more cynical Detective Somerset (Morgan Freeman), who is just one week away from retirement. Together they come across a serial kil...( read more)
Quite, quite brilliant, this is one of the most disturbing films I have ever seen. I can't watch the now famous ending without getting goosebumps, and that, ladies and gents, is a sign of good filmmaking.
Stylish and atmospheric, this is one of David Fincher's best movies. He's been hit and miss for me over the years (I loved "Zodiac," liked "Panic Room" a lot, appreciated "Benjamin Button," was whatever about "Fight Club," and I just plain wanted to drop a dookie on "Alien 3").

Without a doubt the most original movie to come out of hollywood in years, this film tells the story of a killer named John Doe who targets people who commit the seven deadly sins.
Extremely well written thriller, with a great cast. I've always admired director David Fincher's movies, none more so than Seven. I loved the claustrophobic atmosphere, and the beautiful cinematography, that are ever present in all his movies. Pitt and Freeman strike up a great c...( read more)
Good movie...
A stand out film dealing with a particularly unpleasant Serial Killer, "Se7en" (along with "Silence of the Lambs"), is something of a milestone in this genre. An intelligent script, and admirable actors including the excellent Morgan...( read more)

One of the best movies of the 90's. Excellently told story with some really fine acting. Morgan Freeman gives one of his finest performances and everyone is on the edge of their seat throughout the entire movie. A must have for every movie collection.
