Ah I didn't know what this was when I stated to watch it sounds like a sex movie but its not at all it's just about fate and why you should leave it alone and never know you own furture let be a surpirse it was a good movie I'd say
What a waste of a rental. Really, the only good thing about this movie was the fact it had Simon Baker as the male lead. 101 sexual conquests....yet it "attempts" to lead the audience to believe after he reaches #101 that he'll end up dying. ...when really anyone with half a brain and that doesn't sleep around could figure out it the last person he sleeps with would end up to be his wife. Honestly, don't waste your time unless you're an avid Baker fan.
OK if you have time to kill. There are funny parts. The plot's elevator doesn't reach the top floor, and is predictable. All in all, though, I'd say it is worth watching if you have the time to kill.
I was expecting this movie to be really good but instead it was really bad. It could've had potential to be a good movie. The acting was terrible and it was hardly funny. I love Simon Baker but he just got on my last nerve.
I thought that this film captured the epitimy of every mans fantasy, at least the ones that are real pigs. To have a list that tells you all the women you will have sex with, to the end? Wow!
Was enjoyable, but not spectacular. Plot Line was well executed.
Entertaining movie, low budget but quite enjoyable. Nothing too special. It does hold your interest though and doesn't really have slow parts which is always good. Worth watching if you have a bottle of wine on hand!!
This wasn?t anything like I expected for some reason. It wasn?t dark or scary or anything of the sort. Sure, there was a lot of sex, but really, not much death. Think romantic comedy meets sex and death. I think they came up with the title before they came up with a script for this. Sure, it was funny. But that ending, I?m not sure if I?m ok with that ending?..
3 outta 5, titles cool and I liked Winona Ryder but they could have done better with this story and the last 15 minutes were just lame.
There's alot to be said about this film. It shocked even me in a few places with how far it went (see: dead body, and also school girls). But, much like Heathers, the ending is a bit of a cop-out. I wish Winona Ryder had more scenes because she turns in a good performance. And why isn't Simon Baker a bigger star? He's great fun. The film is overly self-conscious at points, especially towards the end with a self-referential voice-over. I hated the lesbian secretary sidekick girl. Her voice was so annoying!! Also, the whole concept gets kinda sexist and perverse. That's kind of the point, you might argue though. Well, the exploration of perversion part, anyway. But it's quite entertaining, sexy, original and kinda ambitious, so you can't be too hard on it.
has an amazingly sweet ending! It's a little too long a little draggy but overall it's a nice watch. It's funny,. serious, sad, happy all in one! Nice!
It's almost as though they set themselves up for a premise that they didn't have the balls to go through with. The ending was beyond awful like some sort of lame 90's sitcom ending where everyone learns their lesson and nobody remembers what just happened for 2 hours. Other than that, it was funny at times and mostly interesting, but it was just too uneven. Also, I could've done completely without all the stuff in the white room about the Oracle. What is this, The Matrix?
"Stop. Mother deserves some respect, not to be treated as a leper... Despite her grotesque skin disease." .................................................................. Another example of an idea that's brillian but the movie is undercooked.
This was very watchable and i really enjoyed as the premise unraveled. Simon Baker is a likable lead, despite not really being able to make the clunky dialogue seem realisitc at all and he's surrounded by some great looking women.
It's all a bit all over the place really. Nothing really steps up to be noticed (beside some of the ladies) and considering there are a lot of angles thrown at you, nothing is explored.
Overall i think this would have made a better tv show. Meeting a person every week, the 'next off the list' so to speak and taking time with each one could have worked very well, but as a movie, this was over long and I sort of lost the point about half way through. ............................................................ "I'm certain that some very interesting things will occur this evening... your penis going into her vagina will not be one of them. But have a lovely evening."
i rented this with no knowledge of the premise. i expected this to become an American Pie movie - i'm thrilled to say that it didn't, although the ending was a bit predictable
Awfully stupid, specially in plot, and in character development. Terrible acting and casting! I can't believe that I actually watched this garbage to the end. Come on Winona, you're better than this! I wish she would stop making such disastrous comedies. Where did that talented star of "Little Women" and "Age of Innocence" go?!
Very bad film. I didn't make it to the end because it was so bad. I wanted to see it because it had Winona Ryder in it. I had read the bad reviews but with her in it I didn't think it could be that bad. Turns out I was wrong. It really was that bad. The whole concept and the way the film was carried out was just shit. There really is no other word for it. The performances were pretty bad. Ryder wasn't awful but she wasn't in it enough to really give her a proper review. I thought the plot would be good but it wasn't. I got about half way through and just couldn't take any more.
A whacky premise that could be really stupid turns out to be really stupid, but is actually handled with great humour and a light touch by Simon Baker. Even when he's about to commit necrophilia on the corpse of his recently deceased friendgirl, Miranda. Deep and light at the same time. Recommended.
Not a bad dramedy. Is more dramatic than I anticipated. A unqiuely wierd concept propels the plot but is never satisfactorily explained. Simon Baker is great and it was good seeing Winona again. Worth checking out.
Stupidity and predictability 101. The story is incredible stupid, but intriguing nonetheless. I must admit that I enjoyed some parts of this movie, in particular the ending that I saw coming right from the start (I mean, who didn't?). This is really just a decent B-movie, with B-actors. Yes, I honestly feel that Winona Ryder has taken a step down in recent years. All in all, the result is still crap, but it doesn't smell like it.
A very quirky movie but I quite enjoyed it. Although I wish Winona got a little more screen time, I thought she did an excellent job. Is this an oscar worthy movie? No, but it is a movie you can pull out on a rainy day and enjoy.
