This was actually pretty funny. I enjoyed it.

Yes it's an in your face rude, crude teen sex comedy with a lot of nudity. If you're easy offended then you will be. It's pretty funny in places and just silly in others. However it comes across as a fun film that the cast enjoyed making. The unrated version of the film is quite ...( read more)odd to, as the director will tell you! Not quite up there with American Pie, Euro Trip etc but it should still cause quite a few laughs. That sure is an awesome car to!

Another teen comedy that wasn't all that funny, or original. The characters were over-animated and spin-offs from other films.

The only redeeming factor for this movie is the donut suit. I'll admit, that was a little funny. But overall, this movie is a royal waste of time.

H...( read more)owever, bumped the rating up half a star for the R-rated DVD version that has random fully nude females randomly placed throughout the film. Not too bad, but I still can't recommend the film to anyone over 18 years old.

A gut-bustingly hilarious comedy that has you falling out of your seat laughing. It's American Pie meets Superbad. Loaded with crazy off the road antics and jokes that make you scream. A splendid and wonderful cast that add heart to this film. Amanda Crew, Josh Zuckerman and Clar...( read more)k Duke are wonderful togehter brining on very funny and compelling chemistry. Seth Green is hysterical. James Marsden is flat-out brilliant, stealing the show with outragiously funny performance. A wild and incrediabley fun comedy ride that you will love from the start to finish.

Bluh. Yet another movie that was specifically made for obnoxius high schoolers.
  • November 18, 2009
Actually pretty funny, but I think it's because they had people like Clark Duke, James Marsden and Seth Green. The lead was just such a moron that it was hard to feel sorry for him and I almost begin to get joy from him getting played like a fiddle. It had some good original mome...( read more)nts and it's definitely worth a watch.

Not as bad as most of the other films in this genre...

I watched the Unrated edition and the directors were right - it was ridiculous, lol. But once you get past that stuff, the movie wasn't bad at all. Some very hot/cute girls in this one and some funny acting by the maim guy...( read more)s, including James Marsden as the homophobic older brother.

    Good movie!

This was a "Laugh Out Loud" film which has probably been done alot better but i loved this film! The cast was great in delivering their humourous performances! Theres not much to actually say about this film. Silly, lighthearted, horny, teen movie.

I watched this against my better judgement, and I was right. Lame sex romp, was done better years ago in a movie called The Sure Thing with John Cusack.

Nigel Andrews, The Financial Times

Neither film wins a prize for visual style. Each deserves one for clever gags and zanily zig-zagging dialogue. full review

October 17, 2008
Pete Hammond, Hollywood.com

Just about as raunchy as a comedy like this can possibly get. It's 'American Pie' with the brakes off . full review

October 17, 2008
Steven Rea, Philadelphia Inquirer

The comedy is uniformly crude and lewd, some of it works and some of it's lame. full review

October 17, 2008
Claudia Puig, USA Today

While it elicits a few laughs, Sex Drive has little to ignite either the comic road-trip genre or the teen-sex romp. full review

October 17, 2008
Kyle Smith, New York Post

The title Sex Drive is a pun about a road trip in search of nooky, but it's also an apt image of what it's like to be a teen guy. You're the car. The stick shift is driving you. full review

October 17, 2008
Colin Covert, The Minneapolis Star Tribune

It brings a welcome intelligence and an ensemble of really cool, funny actors to the age-old subject manner. full review

October 17, 2008
Ty Burr, Boston Globe

The movie's a working definition of "safe sex." full review

October 16, 2008
Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

This movie doesn't contain 'offensive language'. The offensive language contains the movie. full review
