Kingsley gives a jaw dropping performance as a psychopathic boss, but there's also a good story here.

A fantastic British caper movie with an outstanding cast. Ray Winstone is superb as usual, and Ian McShane very good.
Ben Kingsley is amazing in this movie,he oozes menace from every poor,he looks like he's about to snap any moment. I loved it,i thought it was funny and shocking at the same time and very very cool.

For almost an hour it's original and promising but then it's revealed for what it really is, which is a badly directed below average movie.

I saw it because of the academy nomination. A cruel and disinterested tale lead by a guy proving he is no long Ghandi. So much for an eye for an eye making the world blind...

this one was kind of uneven for me even though i ultimately really enjoyed it. here are the pros: ben kingsley is by far one of the most conscientious, impeccable actors i have ever seen. his performance is one of the most chilling and expertly executed portrayals of a professional criminal. i almost pissed myself i was so scared of him. the film is beautifully shot, and the bunny is fucking awesome.
the cons: the plot and the way the story was told was kind of unbalanced and there were a couple choice shots that kind of confused me.
the dialog was hard to follow.
ultimately kingsley made up for all of the little faults i had by being so bad ass and so absolutely terrifying.

ben kingsley in his best role ever! see his finest acting here. as he says himself he plays a missle hitting its target. ray winstone for once plays the guy being on the other end of the violence. a very character driven film that's the dogs bollocks. hey, you even get scared of kingsley when you're sat on your sofa watching it. some great scenes. powerful stuff with great dialogue

great acting, excellent dialogue, the storyline however leaves much to be desired. slow paced but edgy, raw language used quite often. overall a good film to watch with your homies.

A superb performance by Ben Kingsley who had the accent and style of talk down to an absolute ?T?. The film itself and storyline seemed to lack something I can?t quite put my finger on. Less convincing to British viewers was the idea of Ian McShane, aka Lovejoy as the top guy.

Ben Kingsley?s performance is definitely the biggest contribution to the amount of stars but just have to mention how great Amanda Redman looked in this, especially as a Brunette.

Fantastic performances from Kinglsey and Winstone. Also, the cinematography was spot on and I thought Glazer did a nice job calling the shots. All of Kingsley's lines were hilarious. See this!

They needed to put subtitles on this film for the Ray Winstone character--I couldn't understand anything he said.

While Kingsley is hillarious in the film... it's one of the slowest, most rediculous boring pieces of crap I've ever seen. But the "no no no" run is hillarious!

Well made and all. Great characters and performances etc. But it felt like it ended about 20 minutes before it was supposed to. I'll have to watch it again with more sobriety or something.

I watched this movie again last night and re-realized how badass it is. Kingsley is insane and, again, Glazer is one of the most underrated directors we have out there right now.

ray winestone, stars as a english criminal, living the high life in a spanish villla, living of money hes made from his criminal life in england, things turn for the worse when don, turns up a assosiate from england, who requests one last job, and wants him back home imediatly, but he refuses, ray winestone is great in this, one of the best brit actors around, if not the world, he portrays well, a criminal, not knowing what to do next, but its ben kingley, as don who is amazing, he maybe has 20 mins screentime, and you will be scared stiff of this guy, his way of doing things will terrify you, a great film of 2 halfes, the 2nd half set in london, is equally great, and keeps you guessing, throuhout, great comedy moments as well, from all the cast, and a kicking soundtrack
