MCT:May 25, 2008Well the beginning was pretty bad but after about 30 minutes, it get funny and enjoyable. With a believable plot portrayed in such a plausible way, it actually keeps the attention of its viewers. The soundtrack is of course awesome yet the characters are just mediocre yet that is no fault of the actors; they all did a wonderful job for their age. I must say I am biased to this film since it is such a slice of my life and there is a scene filmed at one of my favorite restaurants.

Excellent coming of age movie, of 4 best friends on a summer vacation that there parents no nothing about. They meet new people, and get into some trouble.

My favorite movie. Masterfully weaves all dynamics of great friendships, good and bad all the while showing the audience that everything changes and that that is not always bad. Also, the man society thinks is right for you is often the last man you should be with. All relationships should challenge you.

Cute movie about a last hurrah in Myrtle Beach with 4 friends in the 60's. The romance with Pudge (the not so fat, fat friend) was sweet and the beach atmosphere and dancing is fun. Nice light entertainment for a Saturday night.

You know this movie still holds up for me. One of those "last days of school/coming of age" flicks that Hollywood makes sure to make every couple of years. But this one was a great, chick flick buddette movie. The music was great and the girls were identifiable. It was a favorite movie of mine and Amy and Charlotte. Oh yeah, Buzz was sooo HOT and that southern drawl made us melt. I wanted to learn to shag (that's a dance for you Austin Powers people) so bad and still do today. I still want to go to Myrtle Beach too. I smile thinking about the three of us then. Great times and a great movie.

Reminds me of the goofy things that Robin, Char & I used to do in high school. Shag was one of our favorite movies we even took on their names as our nicknames. Carson, Melaina, & Pudge. I think we all had a big crush on Buzz Ravenel. Sure wish I could shag!
