Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"If you've nothing else to do, it goes down easily, but don't expect much more."
‑ Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader
"A few cliched scenes grate, but one looks forward to seeing what Clark will do next; he shows a welcome determination to make films that illuminate out lives."
‑ Stephen Farber, Movieline
"The characters and their problems are both so cliched that it makes you wonder if the filmmakers had ever seen a movie before; didn't they realize how stunningly unoriginal, how worn out and overused, this material was?"
‑ Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times
"That Clark's movie isn't livelier, spunkier and more original is truly a shame because the players are all so enjoyable."
‑ , TV Guide's Movie Guide
