This is a really sweet and funny movie. Rachel Leigh Cook was really cute even with her glasses and Freddie Prinze Jr. set all the guys straight about after you make a bet you don't think of it as a bet. I also thought that Rachel Leigh Cook's fast way of talking was cute and I l...( read more)ove that Kiss Me song. :) This is a great 90s teen comedy. :) A movie you can watch over and over again. :)

It is a cute high school romance movie and fun to watch. You see a lot of known faces and I liked that. Paul Walker was a total douchebag in this movie though, he looks way better now.

    !Comercial or Stupid! :|

I usually avoid most high school themed films being that you very rarely get good acting and good writing when the movie's protagonists are all teenage characters. What makes it sad is that most of these films have 20- and sometimes 30-year old actors and actresses playing these ...( read more)teens so full-grown actors and actresses actually have to "dumb down' their performances to look like teens. This movie fits in that category because, honestly, it's not believable. Freddie Prinze Jr, Rachel Leigh Cook and Matthew Lillard look more like graduate/doctorate students instead of high school juniors. Too bad, the premise wasn't bad.

  • September 27, 2009
Would've been better if the title was different and Freddie Prinze Jr. wasn't in it, other than that it is a cute movie.
  • September 23, 2009
Still fun after all these years but honestly, who would leave Freddie Prinze Jr. for Matthew Lillard. How silly!

And wowzers! That's what Paul Walker used to look like? Was he on drugs?

Rachael Leigh Cook is so ugly with glasses. But take them off--Bone City.
  • September 6, 2009
cosy movie with a end that melts hearts.

I kinda liked this the first time i watched this, but then i came to my senses and realised that Freddie Prinze Jnr should be in roles such as jock no.4 rather than the main character. Also reminds me of the joke in Jay & Silent Bob.....

Hot guys, highly coreographed prom dances, hilarious dream sequences, wit, flair and Matthew Lillard being...well, Matthew Lillard. What more could one ask for?
  • August 27, 2009
My favourite film of Freddie Prinze Jr. He went from being a total jock to a decent guy towards the end of this film. I love it.
  • August 27, 2009
This movie is so original. I remember seeing it when I was very young. And it's still one of the best chick flicks. I love it.
  • August 23, 2009
This was a good movie it showed how something so mean like a bet could end up hurting someone you really care for

romantic teen comedy starring Freddie Prinze Jr, Rachael Leigh Cook, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, Paul Walker and Anna Paquin. written by R. Lee Fleming Jr. directed by Robert Iscove.

granted, the plot is one of my biggest pet peeves: "nerdy girl" puts on makeup and suddenly she is transfo...( read more)rmed into "popular girl". that has long been a thorn in my side, since I first saw The Breakfast Club and the wonderfully unique Allison is taken aside by Miss Princess Claire and is turned into what was considered by the mainstream as beautiful.

that having been said, for some reason, I kinda like this film. yes, its cheesy. yes, the acting isnt exactly Oscar® worthy. but every now and then, its nice to pop in a movie thats just simple, mindless entertainment. ♥

This movie is one of my first and all time favorite movie.
  • August 20, 2009
This movie is great i mean a gurl can change from one person to a whole new life and a geek to a WOW
  • August 14, 2009
Even though Rachael is cursed (unlike yours truly) with an extra "a" in her name, I will forgive her that. Also, a certain leading man who is just to die for doesn't hurt the deal.

Not the kinda film i could watch again and again but its alrytee

A typical high-school movie. You knew how it'd end. The good thing was the fact that it was touching.
  • July 25, 2009
nice movie... shows that life may not turn out the way we expect
  • July 23, 2009
Surprisingly watchable teen romance feature adorable Freddie Prinze Jr. as the cool dude on campus who accepts a bet to play "Professor Higgins" to a cause-conscious but nerdy "Eliza Doolittle" (Rachel Leigh Cook). Despite the lesson about looks not defining a person, which gives...( read more) this film a John Hughes feel, there are plenty of fun, silly moments that guarantee at least a wide grin.

  • July 10, 2009
Freddie Prinze Jr. stars as a high school hottie who makes a bet with a fellow classmate that he can turn geeky Rachel Leigh Cook into a Prom Queen. Problems arise when hot shot Prinze becomes involved and in love with the transformed Cook.

Take off her glasses and take down her ponytail, and suddenly a pretty girl pretending to be an ugly nerd turns out to be... A PRETTY GIRL! Who'da thunk? She ain't all that, and more so, neither was Freddie Prinze Jr. The sheer stupidity of this movie is what made "Not Another Te...( read more)en Movie" hilarious.

I saw this back in '99 and thought it was really cute. There is alo a really cool choreographed dance number at the prom with Usher as the DJ.
  • June 20, 2009
This used to be my favourite movie of all time but they just keep bringing movies out like it and they turn out to be nothing as good as it. No other teen romance movie can come close to she's all that.
  • June 10, 2009
Predictable...But at least Rachael wasn't bad to look at
  • June 10, 2009
C'mon. How do you hate a movie that has choreographed dancing at the prom?
