Bobby Cooper, Burt Young, Chloe Webb

A romantic fable about Eddie and Maureen--young, married and passionately crazy about each other. When a neighbor attacks Maureen, Eddie snaps and it costs him ten years of his life in a mental institution.     first 40 min is so dull that i am about to stop,and the last 45 min is confusing.

    i couldnt see why those two are so in love and how could she abandoned her life and kids"now" for the past love?
    i cant get that,cause there are not enough description and explanation.

    however i l...( read more)iked the atmosphere and colors of cassavetes world.

    there is some humor which i enjoy.

    A great cast deliver the goods in an otherwise slight tale. The characters are not particularly likeable and their actions and motivations are questionable from beginning to end.

    Both Penn's do a great job up front as do Harry Dean Stanton and Gandolfini (playing a right sleaz...( read more)e). Travolta is also fine in a smaller but pivotal role.

    Ultimately, the story doesn't really go anywhere, never the less it's always interesting.
