Forget that its a puppet drama. Forget that its a kabuki play. The film does rely on heavy symbolism (be patient), but the camera takes u into their souls... a masterpiece.

Visually spectacular and aesthetically unique. The rest is slightly weak. Still, if your a fan of Japanese cinema, the artistic nature of this film and bold subject matter are worth checking out.
