ok so its all glamour and glitz and then it all goes topsy turvey then promptly resume the glitz and glamour. 2 probs 1) maybe the main guy should have stopped playing cards and he might have won some money a bit more quickly, 2) where's Hollywood's happy shine ending for Julie?

Oh Lord. This film is so unintentionally racist but so good. Great music, the characters. definitely see this one.
