This one doesn't build on the characters and laughs of the first two. Timberlake as a teen King Arthur and Idle as Merlin are a big let down! Well the actors do an ok job. It is more the characters, especially Merlin, who are sadly underdeveloped.

    REVIEW

"Shrek" was a delightful film, featuring a fresh animation style and a lovable ogre. Unfortunately it made a lot of money; hence, the inevitable sequels. This one is less than inspired, with a tired script that seems to run out of ideas. The comedy is stale, with only a few chuckles here and there. The funniest bit is the frog king, whose death scene drags on forever. The all-star cast of voices is nice but cartoons are only as good as the story. There are too many characters crammed into a flimsy plot. As a result, it feels episodic and underwhelming. The worst part is knowing that Shrek IV is on the horizon.

Watching this movie, it's almost too hard to believe that it's in the same series as the first two. It's aimed almost entirely at adults and children will watch it only because of what the first two were. At the rate they're going with Shrek, the fifth one will be found behind th...( read more)e swinging doors in the back corner of Family Video. This franchise is going to Hell.

From all the criticism received for this sequel, I was expecting a pretty bad film, but in fact I really enjoyed the direction the story went in. Some very funny moments and of course, as always, great animation and characterization, including some new arrivals.

This film was so bad, I had to watch "Twilight" just to forget how bad this film was. The third in the series sets Shrek out to find the rightful prince of Far Away Land to take the crown so Shrek doesn't have to be king. But the film isn't funny, it isn't much of a story, it's l...( read more)ike the film was made just for people to spend money on. Apparently, it was a box office hit, but to be it's a flop.

The weakest out of the 3 films, but it's still a great movie. While there seemed to be too many characters, the movie ends up being alot of fun and it had the cute factor too (mainly the baby ogres).

Another good installment to the Shrek series but it doesn't top the first or second film unforntuatley. Good to see the same characters/actors back plus a few newbies, but none that really stood out like the second films new faces. Storyline is good and creative, but once again t...( read more)ries to do a lot more than it should rather than sticking to the basics like the first. Overall it will keep fans of the first two films happy, and I do actually look forward to the fourth installment next year :)
