MCT:July 17, 2008In my opinion, the best spoof ever made. It takes all of the old school scary movies, before good CGI, and just basically makes fun of them until you're peeing in your pants. It is reminiscent of Scary Movie, but I think it's better than even that. This is definitely for those who enjoyed the old school horrors, or just need a good laugh now and then. A great movie.

wow i have not seen this movie in ages..this is just a paradoy of "scary movies" kind of all roled into 1 movie..this is like scary movie but a differently made...i think that coolio is a good singer/rapper but he pulls of playing the role/s he done in this movie...i think tom arnold was a good comedy actor n he pulls of playing his character well in this movie..this is quite an enjoyable movie 2 watch

It's your typical high school where a group of friends including Dawson, Slab and Boner are enjoying school life. Until, as serial killer turns up and starts chasing after them one by one. No one knows who this killer is, as he obviously slips around the school. Will they finally unmask the killer before it's too late? 'Shriek' as i like to call it, is another one of those bad spoof movies, but this one has a very different feel to it than 'Scary Movie'. The plot is basically the same than 'Scary Movie', when 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' is mixed with 'Scream'. The jokes aren't very dirty in this film, but still contains the odd sexual reference, especially with one of the characters named as boner. The film mostly relies on characters lines, but there are a few scenes which are actually funny. If you like spoof film, you should just watch this for fun. If you don't like spoof movies, then don't watch it.

MCT:October 25, 2007this was sort of a play off real horror films, but Scary Movie came out earlier in the year and stole some of SHRIEK's thunder..lol..they are kind of close, considering a little less than half of the jokes in each of them are considered funny...

There was nothing funny about this at all. It seemed as if everyone was trying way too hard to be funny and it was just forced. I think I laughed once during this whole movie. I really recommend that this movie gets skipped. Watch Scary Movie instead if you are looking for parodies of horror movies.

Its not that funny. Like its the low budget version of scary movie. Where scary movie is funny this only has its few momments. The acting isnt great and it moves dar to fast at the begining. Some of the jokes arent funny and its just stupid. The deaths are completley ridiculous. So overall not worth the watch.

Yeah, it doesn't rip off a lot from SCARY MOVIE (except the title which was the original title for SCARY MOVIE, with Scream instead of Shriek.) still it just fell short where SCARY MOVIE suceeded. The jokes aren't old, their just all mostly bad. A couple of good jokes (the cats one was the only one I really laughed out loud at.) and an okay cast of considering it was a spoof movie. Simon Rex is about the only note worthy performance playing about the same character as in SCARY MOVIE 3. The jokes don't flow well and most of the situations just don't make any sense as to why their there. So if you've already seen SCARY MOVIE, then you'll just be bored by this film. Trust me, it's not a scream.

I'm sure everyone have heard of a movie called "Scary Movie", you know the movie that came out in 2000 and was a parody of "Scream" and other horror movies. Well this is the low, low budget version of "Scary Movie". And I don't like "Scary Movie" at all, but this movie is so fucking horrible, it's not funny just painfully bad. I wish I wouldn't have seen it, then again I'm only myself to blame, besides what do you expect from a movie that proudly features Coolio on the cover?

This movie is really bad. And I mean really, REALLY bad.
It's almost identical to Scary Movie, only Scary Movie was hilarious and went on to make successful sequels.
Basically I spent the entire time waiting for something actually funny to happen so that I could laugh (once at the very beginning, that's it) while my dad slept on the couch (the movie had put him to sleep). -
