Plot: A wife and mother passes away, and spirit returns in her daughter's body.
La gran diferencia contra el resto de peliculas con una trama similar es que aqui se trata de forma seria; es buena y hasta ahi.
A very odd movie...that I guess has not been released in the US yet even though it has an all American/Canadian cast. It's a drama (not a horror flick as its been billed in some place) with supernatural/sci-fi elements integral to the plot.
Besides some clunkiness to scripting of family scenes in the beginning, it's a pretty good story with some amazing acting by newcomer Olivia Thirlby. Lili Taylor unfortunately didn't have much room to shine, Duchovny did a decent job playing a grieving father who is trying to figure out how the hell to deal with a daughter that seems to be inhabited by the soul of his deceased wife. Lots of funny moments, tension, a good examination of the double standards we place on spouses and our children...and how crazy it can be to be a parent living their child's life intimately.
A strange and capivating story played by noteworthy actors.
I was suprised that so few people saw it.
A movie you must see...
