MCT:September 13, 2008A surprisingly watchable Thai ghost story, utilizes color and atmosphere to make up for the usual long haired ghost cliches that riddle virtually all Asian horror films.
Worth a look, this reminded me of a different take on the Nightmare On Elm Street series as the ghost manipulates each victims' weaknesses to torture them.

Suay Laak Sai is a film that has mixed of surprising plot twists, terrifying ghost, amount of gore and an unexpected ending that makes it worth watching......but some of the scares looks so much like the Japanese horror movies that deal with moving long haired female ghost...
You really need to pay attention with this movie in order to understand the story..and try to visualize this not as a horror movie but rather a strange and unique tale of revenge with a twisted sense of humor... -
MCT:July 30, 2008Well, I´m starting to get tired of vengeful ghost with long black hair, thats ridicoulous!!!! I wasn´t scare I was boring the whole movie.
Sick Nurses has a pathetic and stupid story, that tries to scare but instead to scare U it makes U feel sleepy.
The main actress were overacted, and her characters were stupid, annoying and useless.
The scenes and the blood were good but not so great and the end was simply stupid.
If you wanna get boring this is your movie, if you are trying to get sleep I´m sure U may trying to watch this but if U want to watch a great horror movie YOU BETTER AVOID THIS otherwise YOU WILL REGRET... -
MCT:July 24, 2008There's a lot of fun to be had with this bloodier take on the standard long-haired onryo banshee. Very good atmosphere and some clever scare gags make Sick Nurses a keeper.

well, this is what it is...haha.
I was VERY out of touch (and still am a bit) with the thai cinema industry up until a couple years ago when I saw shutter and art of the devil 2 at fantasia, these two really impressed me and somehow I started to watch everything horror wise coming out of thailand I even went as far as wathing krasue (demonic beauty), and phiibob (body jumper)...but please don't be fooled like I was. Thailand has the potential,but most of it' filmmakers are not applying it.
That's not to say these films are total crap...they aren't...totally. Movies like sick nurses, the unborn, and laa-thaa-phii (ghost game) manage to entertain, but they just have too many of those cringeworthy moments, and apparently, many thai directors don't really pay much mind to consistency and "solid" plot.
Plot holes, and inconsistency, and bad acting, and bad jokes aside...sick nurses is a pretty entertaining film. It is reasonably well filmed, has some cool gore moments, and some cute thai nurses...oh and it has something else pretty special that will be revealed to you near the end :D
Worth a watch after a long tired day. -

MCT:April 26, 2008A Thai horror film that was twisted & bloody but similar to few others that have a vengeful ghost with long black hair,with the exception that this ghost wasn't pale & instead has black make-up.The plot wasn't all that good & the characters are odd but the film manage to be entertaining & bizarre at times.Some cool death scenes & the effects were good at times but the weird conclusion was unexpected & stupid at the same time.

Fun and stylish Thai horror flick that seems to try desperately to entertain the audience every second, and mostly succeeds. If it wasn't for the fairly lame story (though there are some cool parts, the ghost's "real identity" for example) this could have been a great one. But a pretty darned good one ain't nothing to frown at either.
