A stupid film, with a silly meaning (the fact that a crab has a lot to do with the romance is just weird!) but the scene with the girl breaking the plates always has me in fits of laughter (pretty much the reason I own the film!) plus the soundtrack is amazing and I can't help but love Sean Patrick Flanery.

Just your standard nice sweet rom com. Sarah Michelle is radiant as always, shame about the by the book story line.

MCT:June 16, 2008Amanda Shelton (Sarah Michelle Gellar) owns the restaurant when she meets a mysterious magical man named Gene O'Reilly (Christopher Durang) at the local market. Gene O'Reilly sells her crabs but a magical crab casts spells, with a wave of its claw by Amanda's inspired by her emotions & created foods. Amanda meets Tom Bartlett (Sean Patrick Flanery) @ the local market is a department store manager opening an ambitious new restaurant inside his store. Tom embraces his feelings for Amanda & go after her.

This movie was soo romantic and sweet. I really enjoyed the story line coz it was different. It had some good casting as well. I mean Flannery is awesome, if u enjoyed him in this movie you should definately watch the boondock saints, but thats if your in the mood for a good action and a good laugh.

I LOVE THIS FILM - its amazing, the food is really presented and all intwined in the emotion and feeling of the movie. Where food is really part of the story line and a touch of magic that at the end gives me the warm fuzzy feeling - i have lost count how many times i have watched this film it lives near the tv!

One of Sarah Michelle Gellars first movies that was not successful. Her saying "She fell in love with a script, and it was a flop,and shows you that whatever you like, other people won't necessarily like it." Now as for the movie. I love this movie. I think its a very cute romantic comedy and a just feel good kinda movie. Love Sean Patrick as well as the mesmerizing soundtrack that goes with it.

Terrible writing, implausible plot and bizarre wardrobe choices. That said, it's an almost perfect fluffy chick flick. Sean Patrick Flanery is dream-date material.

She is hot in this !!!!!Call it Buffy the Culinary Slayer. Sarah Michelle Gellar, who usually runs around staking vampires and fighting demons, turns cute and cuddly as an aspiring chef in this magical-realist comedy.
