April 11, 2007I have this movie! It is one of the most awesome movies I have ever seen! The stories of each character are wicked and it's cool that each of the main characters are connected because they all know the same people. They should all join up and have a huge ruthless rampage in Sin City Two! Lot's of violence and action through out the whole thing and Elijah Wood did a great job acting. I think I'm going to go watch this movie right now!
Definitly a 10/10 rating! -

March 10, 2007The comic like images are stunning. But I hate the portraying of violence in this movie. I'm not against violence in movies.But this one is not honest, but we feel like it is. The images complete an empty story of teenage-like stories. Off course this movie doesn't have a point. But, how are we beiing manipulated by images of empty violence? I haven't seen 300, but I think this question is even more relevant in this new movie. I'm not saying this movie shouldn't exist or shouldn't be watched, (censorship is worst). We only need to be aware of how images manipulate us. Nothing is free, not even violence. Kung fu Hustle is another violent, cartoon like movie, but I didn't feel manipulated by it. It's hard to explain... maybe it is because it flirts too close with "reality"... Did somebody fell the same?
