What more could you expect with a title like that. I only dared watch it because I like Piper Perabo. She's a good actress but this film does her no justice. I can however forgive her for it because it was one of her very first films and at that point in her career, i'm sure she couldn't afford to be picky about the films she was in.
For a daft comedy, it started off fairly well. Obviously nothing brilliant but at least something I could sit through. The concept was there. A foreign exchange student from France comes to live in Texas with a highly ambitious high school student. She then begins to take over the girls life. Getting along too well with her parents, making the school newspaper and becoming the replacement for Head Cheerleader. Then things just started to get stupid. At the beginning of the film I managed to laugh a few times but then it got to the point where I just couldn't believe what they were actually doing. It became too far fetched as Perabo's character gets the girl locked up. All for revenge. I won't say what for because you wouldn't believe me even if I told you. I couldn't even bring myself to like any of the characters. Perabo was slightly likable at the beginning but then you discover her motives and you're not meant to like her. But by the end you're meant to like the girl who took her in, but she was just a spoilt bitch who was stuck up. How could anyone expect you to like a character like that. She's meant to be reformed by the end but they didn't really do a very good job of that. It's probably likely that the French would just find this film offensive as well. Aside from Perabo's poor and stereotyped French accent, the jokes are pretty poor. A mess of a film that I recommend as one to steer clear of.

A brainless teen comedy to seat in from of the TV for a few laugh and to spend your spare time. This movie it is also known as "She Gets What She Wants". It also it is a teen remake of "All About Eve".

Unbelievably bad. One of the few movies I've seen that's actually made even worse by the director. Worthless.

um bom filme pra nos fazer lembrar como os americanos são ignorantes em relação à cultura alheia... e só. mas até que dá pra rir um pouco com as piadas sexistas e os estereótipos ridículos.

No one really needed to prepare me to find out this movie is complete satire. Eventually the serious award-worthy roles (10th & Wolf) rise to the top, while mildly-fulfilling ones like Perabo's imitation French accent. Btw, this movie is actually good, in the sense that gorgeous ladies keep you entertained.

Not sure how I was pursuaded to go see this, but I did. A pre-Mean Girls teen highschool comedy. The title's probably the second most amusing thing about it after the alcoholic mother character. Crass and amusingly un-PC.
