A film that you need to be a fan of the series to enjoy or else it'll dissapoint. For fans though, They'll laugh at the jokes that make Slayers great.
Everyone else should watch the TV series first.
I really like it.^^
This very silly feature centers on sorceress Lina Inverse and her greatest and closest rival, Nahga the Serpent, who use their magical powers to zap anyone who annoys them. Two discount tickets take the heroines to the mist-shrouded Island of Mipross...

Having enjoyed the hilarious Slayers 1st season and Slayers Next TV series, I have high hopes for this movie... and ended up being disappointed. Not nearly as good or funny as the TV series, which I would recommend instead.
Ah Lina Inverse. You and Naga are both so wrong for each other to be traveling with one another, and yet you do and CONTINUE to do so for a long time. Great animation and a solid, intriguing plot. The magic keeps you coming back for more and wanting to get into the Slayers universe.
In my opinion, one of the most hiliariously done anime movies out there. Even though I haven't seen the many incarnations of the Slayers OVAs or TV series' I did find this one movie pretty entertaining. the animation is pretty good, but Nahga the Serpent's voice could get pretty annoying.
Quite the decent Slayers movie, I really enjoyed it. Lina's character and Naga's at their best. I prefer the original Slayers series, mostly Next, but this movie was a great OVA side and guide to Lina's past and her friendship and rivalry with Naga. Recommended for Slayers fans and classical anime fans. ^_^ Megumi once again is at her best!
one of my husbands favorites, but i just cant get over Nagas annoying laugh and after i watched the special features and realized this old lady did the voice for Naga it threw it all off for me.
