Absolutely beautiful! A film that really makes you appreciate the effort Disney animators in the 50's put into their work. Nowadays you just have to type a couple of commands into a PC and boom! Colour, sound, effects. Instead of hiring expensive voice actors, Disney should just ...( read more)get a crew that can actually draw. Hoping 'The Princess and the Frog' can redeem them.

All the charm of a fairytale combined with modern heroics and romance. And of course, the waltz composed by Tchaikovsky.

Conclusion: F*!k that modern CGI crap, this style is timeless.

    Such a nice movie!

Outdated animation which is both a plus and a negative. It looks unlike modern animation with backgrounds standing out separately as individual pieces of arts. Great attention to detail is paid to moving characters but the colours used are all of the same tone for the most part m...( read more)aking the film feel flat and lifeless at times. The film is full of classic Disney moments such as great songs, some excellent characters and moments of gentle comedy (the drunk mandalin player). The restrained dialogue gives a more adult and subtle feel and is certainly a welcome change from loud mouth sidekicks such as Eddie Murphy, Gilbert Godfried and Nathan Lane in later efforts. The story though, never quite shakes it's very simple fairytale roots and just makes it past the 1 hour mark.

The three fairies always upto mischief make it a great film; its also quite dark but full of magic and colour making it a treat to the eyes.
