Sleeping Dogs Lie
In 1919, Canadian theater tycoon Ambrose Small vanished into the streets of Toronto, leaving millions in his bank account and crime investigators flummoxed. Though the case was never solved and officially closed in 1960, this period film presents a clever view of what may have happened to Small (Art Hindle). Compelling "what-if" scenarios lead the audience down several alternative paths to what the world press called "the crime of the century."
