sugary goodness all the way down... typical formula of the underdog come out on top.. its funny and a great movie to pass a lazy afternoon in bed , especially if you're sick.
Directed by : Joe Nussbaum Casts : Steve Carrell,Alexa Vega
ALMOST TWO THIRD OF THIS MOVIE CONTAINS NOTHING INSIDE,AND THE OTHER ONE THIRD IS ALL THE WRONG TURN OF "MEAN GIRLS"
FIRST THING FIRST,WHY I EVEN WATCH THIS MOVIE?One of my dearest friend persuade me to watch her "Favourite movie of all-time",and I ridiculously fell off. So,I guess the blame is not on me now.
Despite ever thought that Sleepover would'nt be such a mediocre, now,my eyes is wide open,Sleepover has the most standart feature ever as a teen-movie.Sleepover is a painful combination of teen-mediocre,social caste climber, and romance in the most unimportant notion.Thought it will be a Mean Girls' escape,I didn't receive a thing like Mean Girls.
Sleepover is trying too hard to bring up such a simple topic,a group of lame girls who want to climb the social caste up to the highest. In the most typical fashion,Sleepover is succeed to bring up a movie full of ambition and desperation they needed, despite it's huge-hole of missing fun and a comedy that no one could ever buy.
Sleepover is a teen-universe mediocre, who merely didn't bring up any sense of originality, and moreover,it's so shallow,I think a 12 years old is choosing "Fight Club" over this one.
This really was a well put together movie. Story was great and the cast was good too. I seem to love cheesey movies, and this one was kinda cheesey at parts, but it tells a good story.
I loove teen movies!! They are funny, cute, and very very entertaining! This is nothing like those boring movies about war or politics. I'm not concern of all the politics. I want more more more teen movies!!!!
An excellent movie to watch. See this or you'll be sorry for the rest of your life.
You know what, my friends keep on telling me that I have bad taste in movies. But I know I'm not. I have good taste in them and you have to believe me.
Julie Corky (Alexa Vega) is having a sleepover with her bestfriends: Hannah Carlson (Mika Boorem) is her supporter, Farrah James (Scout Taylor-Compton), & Yancy Williams( Kallie Flynn Childress). Julie has crush on/could meet Steve Phillips (Sean Faris) try to win Steve's attention who thinks Julie is goregous. They'll enter into an all-night scavenger hunt against the popular clique in their school: Stacie Blake (Sara Paxton), Liiz Daniels (Brie Larson), Molly (Katija Pevec), & Jenna Allen (Eileen April Boylan) until 1 of them got a crown by Steve Phillips is Julie Corky.
i had fun watching this movie.. its crazy to think that other things can happen in just a sleepover.. but, its not the kind of movie that i would rily die for..eehehe
This movie was horrible, but at the same time it's worth seeing for a good laugh, because it's just THAT BAD! There was NO charactor development, the main charactor, Julie, played by Alexa Vega was shallow, and was still shallow at the end of the film and her friends were no better. There was no real emotion, and the humour, if any, was stupid. You actually want to walk into the TV screen and slap the charactors. It also gives out SUCH a bad message. Here are some of the messages I took away after watching it: - Overweight girls belong with overweight guys, and no-one else will find them attractive. - The most important thing about being a teenager is sitting at the cool lunch table. - It's okay to disrespect authority as long as you keep your social status. - Your friends will like you more if you are slim. This movie was just horrible, and should really be classed as a parody film, because that's the only way it can be view as entertainment.
I remember this movie bombed, and it's a little on the mature side for the tweens and not really meant for adults, so it's kind of in no-man's-land. I thought it was cute, but wouldn't let my babysitting kids watch it
Its pretty entertaining, a nice slice of a pie and a great SLEEP-OVER movie for girls, absolutely..
Its fully comedy from the start to the end, although its somehow cheesy..
Funny story, I saw this when my best friend and i were having a sleepover and my older sister got it for us she said "it was called sleepover and it looked kinda like a girly movie (which it is) so i got it for you!" it was nice of her but a baaaaaaad choice come on we gotta get a boys underwear so we can sit in the cool part of the lunch park OH GOOD GOD!!
