One of the better suspense/mystery flicks I've seen. When you think you have it all figured out, it all changes. Definitely worth it if this is your cup of tea.
another film trying to be to clever for its own good.in the end i hadnt got a clue what was going on,and i had also given up careing as well.bloody awfull dialogue.i give it one star for assembling a half decent cast, shame it didnt know what to do with them.
A sizzeling, sexy and blistering crime thriller. Bursting with riveting and nail-biting twist and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. The suspense snaps and crackels like live wire. Intelligent and satisfying. Smart, stylish and very compelling. It gets better as it rips through the layers. An explosively well-written and hard-hitting drama. Gripping and heart-pounding entertainment. A great and exceptional all-star cast. Ray Liotta rips through the screen with yet another memerising performance. He never fails to give an awsome portrayel. James Todd Smith is gives a great and confident performance.
Very seldom do I see a movie today that I can't figure out, but this was one of them. Well, at least until the last 10 minutes. Ray Liotta, LL Cool J, Taye Diggs, Mekhi Phifer, and Jolene Blalock give good performances. Chiwetel Ejiofor, even though not much time onscreen, is always great.
The title really says it all, it is just a slow burning movie. Not only does it confuse you as to who is who in the story, but it also doesn't seem to answer very many questions that it brings up. The characters have a relationship but not much of one and it is pretty obvious what's going to happen at the end, but then it once again changes up on you. It was just not a very well put together movie at all.
A horrendously bad movie. I'll be honest, I didn't even make it through the whole thing. It just got worse and worse. My main concern with this film was that an actor of Ray Liotta's calibre resorted to this disaster.
Slow Burn starts out slow and remains slow for most of the movie. It was appropriately named. Liotta's acting was subpar, but was masked many other poor performances. The plot is ambitious, but takes a long time to develop. It also felt like they put as many twists as possible at the end of this movie. I'm a Ray Liotta fan, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
I couldn't care less about the unknown cast and LL Cool J.
Ray Liotta is the most hardcore actor in Hollywood, and he'll dominate the film which we'll make it worthwhile. Judging by his other performances, I'll probably be pleased with it.
Sort of a poor man's "Ususal Suspects" but without quite the same pinnache.
Though some may think it is predictable, it is not; I promise that.
The biggest problem with this movie is the piss poor dialogue. Some of the lines spoken (especially by LL Cool J) are fairly cheesy and at some points eye rolling. Overlooking this though, it is a fairly enjoyable film for a week night evening with some decent performances.
The worst problem with this movie was the writing. It was like something I might have written in Junior High. Aside from the worst dialog in history, the choice of actors was fairly mediocre and their performances stand up to the predictable standards of C-list actors and actresses. Special effects and directing was very poor, I think my dog could have done a better job. All-in-all, I'm dissapointed with this movie and would highly recommend you rent something more entertaining within this genere such as The Usual Suspects or Swordfish. And someone needs to tell Ray Liotta to stop wearing eye liner, he looks gay. :-/
Not sure what to say about this one - It was interesting enough to not turn off, but there just isn't a lot done here that hasn't been done better before. The acting is okay, but nothing amazing and there are far too many scenes of the female lead literally having her ass kissed.
