This was one great movie back in 1998! Not many people liked it I think, but it was my kind of movie. I really liked playing with action figures and making them life like. And whats more it had the army element to it plus high fantasy; really a dream come true!
I thought this was pretty cute. If you have smaller boy children in the army man stage...this is a good family show to watch with him. Not sure a girl would care as much for it.

RIDICULOUS! the movie itself can't be called a superb one . it's more like a mix of Toy Story + Chucky+ Old Horror movie(etc. i know what you did last summer) scream in average proportion . But , the idea itself is quite imaginative . It's just a simple KIDS HORROR MOVIE . Small Soldiers is simple movie with simple story for little kids which is not more than any other kids action series , such as Power Ranger or Pokemon.

A very clever animated-live action computer animated film in which the toys come to life and look real. Once the action starts, it's a very interesting story with fun special-effects, some good, funny dialog and some neat references to past films. But, typical Hollywood family in the film that features stupid parents, annoying teens who are too worldly for their age and think they get no respect from their parents. Small Soldiers is good old fashioned.
OMG this film came out when i was still playing with barbie dolls except after watching this film it put me off them for life! I always remember those dolls they shaved they're heads .... i quite like this film though funny i love horror but this is about the only thing that creeped me out when i was little hehehe strange
15 year old Protagonist Alan Abernathy (Gregory Smith) was expelled from two schools for playing pranks when his family has moved to Cleveland, Ohio. His father named Stuart (Kevin Dunn) owns an unpopular traditional toy store on a business trip to leave Alan in charge. Alan sees the boxes of the Commando Elite & the Gorgonites in the delivery truck for another larger toy store. Christy Fimple (Kristen Dunst) starts a relationship with Alan.
A sort of hybrid of Toy Story and Gremlins, Small Soldiers is an explosive Kid's Movie that happily plays out the edgier card to a much, much better result than expected. Indeed, as the movie progresses, it's almost impossible not to be wildly entertained by its high impact climax.
Every little boy with GI Joes has wanted to play with his action figures in a real-life environment, with them as real-live characters, sorta. But somehow this movie is a misfire. Probably because the cartoon of which this rips off, GI Joe, was far better, even in its campiest moments.

Love this, especially when the war kicks in and you get WAR HUH WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR ABSOLUTLY NOTHING LET ME HEAR YOU SAY WAR HUH!!! and at some point even girls want to do to their barbies what happens to them in this sometimes sweet and lovely can be sickening lol good and great for kids not really young but its good enough for all.
wow what a great 1990's movie..this movie is just brilliant 2 watch...the soundtrack is brilliant...this has a great cast of actors/actressess throughout the movie...this is a great family/comedy movie 2 watch..this is a good Action & Adventure, Animation, Kids & Family movie 2 watch..the fight scenes between the toys are really funn 2 watch..this is a great movie
If you thought those small plastic green army soldiers was cool as when you was a kid than check this movie out.I was so fasinated how they make these toys look and act so much alive.If you have a good imagination you will like this movie as much as i did.Toys at war,something to see.
