think of tim burton spending five minutes on making the most english film you're ever likely to see and then deciding to cast the whole of slipknot in all of the parts! that's what ya got here...mush!

It had a lot of charm for the first 20 minutes. After that it was obvious they ran out of story, and droned on and on needlessly for another hour or so. Warwick Davis should have been in it more, and it could have been saved.

I liked it, but I am bewildered by it's bizarre visuals and will need to go looking for explanation on what exactly the reason for them was. The green screening, the sepia tones and random colour changes. I preferred the blonde to the wife, but both the guys were pretty good, esp...( read more)ecially the younger boy. Loved all his stuff, especially the fight sequences. The villains of the piece were entertaining, but occasionally repetitive. I was interested in seeing Small Town Folk because the trailer made it seem like a twisted and creepy film. It wasn't as scary as I thought it to be, in fact I didn't find it scary at all. But other than that it was a really entertaining movie.

There were so many things I...( read more) enjoyed about this film - it looked old, Grockleton and it's residents looked like they were ripped off of some twisted fantasy world, and there were quite a few moments when I couldn't help but laugh. Sure, the special effects were pretty bad, and there were a few actors who were just terrible, but hey - I like bad movies, and those bad actors got killed after they had been on the screen for about two minutes, so it's not that bad.

Small Town Folk is pretty unknown film, and after watching it I couldn't help but wonder if they'd had a bigged budget when making this movie, would it have gotten more fans and respect than it does now?

a low budget effort with a interesting cheap look to it, as a group of people get slaughtered and so on in the countryside, definatly a amature effort, woth efective techniques throughout, and some nice horror moments considering its budget, the acting amature at best, but the ch...( read more)arm and determination makes this a winner, after all we all remember peter jacksons bad taste dont we ? not that classic but a start
