Pretty entertaining. It's completely bare-bones production. (Just people & a camera.) But it's pretty allright especially watching Jackie's youthful abilities.

I remember trying to watch some of Jackie's earlier films from the late-70s/early-80s before stuff like Police Story and Wheels On Meals. I couldn't do it.

Then, I saw this at the Portland Grindhouse Film Festival. Color me stunned, happy, and in love with this movie! GO KITTY CAT, GO!! :D

Good kung fu comedy genre. It's completely bare-bones production. This movie still enthralls cinema cultists, and it will surely open a whole new frontier for mainstream cinephiles.

Seen this movie many years ago and it is still one of the best effort from Jackie Chan. Innovative and stylish kung fu moves.

Not a lot of people know, or can appreciate how great this movie is. However, I can, and I always will. The dvd version has a different soundtrack than the original that I saw, and own on vhs. The original soundtrack is awesome!

this film has to be watched in Mandarin with English subtitles for full comedy effect - very funny yet pretty violent too.

The best kung fu Jackie Chan have made. In this one he havent an easy life and working on a kung fu school and must do all the boring stuff otherwise he get punished from the teacher. But one day he meet on old man (master) that teach and learn him the snake style. Fun and watch the amazing fighting scenes. *thumbs up*

Another great Chan film... Although the plot was kind of thin, the fight scenes were entertaining as hell... I really enjoy these older Chan films because he seems to focus more on the form of the art instead of pure choreography.

This is Jackie Chan before Hollywood, much better the fighting is incredible and is a great story of the development of a fighting style sometimes called SnakeTalon, also Snake-Crane

An very early Jackie Chan effort. Its' a very solid kung fu film, full kung fu cliches like the cheesy zooms and god-awful lines. The story is ridiculously thin- a kung fu master who practices the Eagle's Claw boxing stance hates the Snake style, and wants to kill whoever knows it. Somehwere along the way our man Jackie gets involved. In any case, this is well-shot film with some very inventive bits, especially involving the old man (the scene where he beats a bunch of guys with chopsticks is priceless). The fights are not mind-blowing but they're very fun to watch. While, to me anyways, it doesn't match up to the kickass Rumble in the Bronx, its still a fun film.

In those years it was real fun to watch. These movies gave a new perspective to Hong Kong production as well as a chance to great Jackie Chan.
