Dark fairytale that tries to push the gothic tale to another level. It is definately different from the tale of our childhood with no dwarves and challenging the social classes. However, as a horror flick it leaves much to be desired.

Hauntingly gothic and engaging. Beautiful cinematography and imagery of what is my favorite fairy tale. Suffers a bit from some occasional cheesy horror one-liners and gore but other than that a stately gothic horror tale.
