Warning: Graphic Violence. Major Angst. Unhappy ending.
But thats all worth it. The movie was great. Good actors and it will make you cry your eyes out in a not sappy way. This movie makes a impact on you! -
MCT:April 7, 2008I did a report on Barry Winchell, so I was always fascinated with his story. When I finally watched this movie I was in awe. The acting was SUPERB. Troy nailed down the emotions to a T, and Lee Pace is an amazing actor. They way he portrayed a transgenered man was unbelievable. It was incredibly hard to watch this film as well. I knew what was going to happen, and I just wanted to stop the film right after the peace offering. Then I thought to myself, how can this amazing person (Barry) disappear from our world, because of hate and alcohol? Barry showed us that there are people out there that can be accepting. And to have him killed was... I don't even have a word for it. Everyone must watch this movie. It is amazing, and heartfelt, and real. I don't care who you are, where you came from, or what you do, but watch it and learn from Barry.

this one of the most wounderful flim it is an unconvetule love story that really really work on all levels. No matter what else is happing in the story it a love story. showing how love is not about what one see but what one feels. the conction of two souls.

I knew it was based on a true story but still there were times I just couldn't believe things like that actually happened.
