Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"It's neither clever nor that funny, the starry cast is underused, and the potential for a much wittier script never fulfilled."
‑ Derek Adams, Time Out
"A romantic comedy with insights into sex and relationships that are old and obvious."
‑ Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle
"So-so romantic comedy for teens."
‑ Nell Minow, Common Sense Media
"It's cheap and it's lowdown, and to those responsible for this exercise in devolution: Honestly, I'm not sure I want to know someone like you."
‑ Kimberley Jones, Austin Chronicle
"Displaying the same powerful charisma that won him rave reviews as Wolverine in X-Men, Jackman simply ignites the screen in all his scenes."
‑ Betty Jo Tucker, ReelTalk Movie Reviews
"A little lifeless."
‑ Susan Wloszczyna, USA Today
"Refreshingly funny."
‑ Carrie Rickey, Philadelphia Inquirer
"While Judd and Kinnear are both quite good, it's Jackman that completely steals the show."
‑ David Nusair, Reel Film Reviews
"'Nothing that you haven't wept or winced through during primetime TV but saved from the truly awful thanks to the performances of Judd and Jackman.'"
‑ Harry Guerin, RTE Interactive (Dublin, Ireland)
"Movies like this soar or sink on the strength of their central couple, and the intoxicating combination of Judd and Jackman makes "Someone" well worth watching."
‑ James Sanford, Kalamazoo Gazette
"Ashley Judd tries to make Jane interesting, but seems to be longing for some decent situations and dialogue -- and no bull."
‑ Doug Knoop, Seattle Times
"All over the place, and seems to have been made by embittered married people."
‑ John Anderson, Newsday
"Desde o início da história fica óbvio, para o espectador, quem são as duas pessoas que dividirão o inevitável beijo final - e não há surpresa alguma neste aspecto. Infelizmente, o roteiro não se preocupa em explicar porque isso acontece."
‑ Pablo Villaca, Cinema em Cena
"A movie that seems the essence of a trivial romantic comedy for its first half, then grows up and gets serious about life."
‑ Margaret A. McGurk, Cincinnati Enquirer
"Visualmente no tiene mucho que ofrecernos y si vamos con la esperanza de ver una realización excelente, olvídenlo."
‑ Luis Martinez, Cinenganos
