Ótimo filme para quem gosta de histórias reais e lições de vida. Baseado em fatos reais e impressionante, esse filme mostra a superação profissional de um médico e seu auxiliar nos anos 30 em diante.

great history of the whole phenomenon on open-heart surgeries. a bit too quiet, and lots of medical jargon.

This movie was really good mostly because it didn't shy away from the issues it raised. The movie was your standard based-on-a-true-story biopic, and if you don't like that genre, you're not gonna get much out of this movie. The only hang-up I had with this movie is the same hang-up with every biopic--the nagging sensation that many many things have been dramatized to make a good movie, while at the same time obscuring, to put it lamely, "what really happened."

Great movie. Alan Rickman is amazing because you love and hate him in the movie and Mos Def really demonstrates his acting abilities.

medically speaking,it was a good breakthrough discovering ways to surgically treat "blue babies"...though didnt like the discrimincation part...Dr. Blalock should have given all the credit to Mos Def's character, . . . but in the end, Mos Def still received a recognition.....
