One of the best romantic Science Fiction Movies ever made. The Sci Fi is foldered in to the plot in such an easy fashion that many people never realized that SCi-fi Played such a big part. MY altime favorite movie. The movie that I have to occasionally pull out and see yet again. Very Rich Texture, Outstanding Direction.
One of the greatest movies ever. I think this was Christopher Reeve's best work and the story is outstanding. Up there with Gone With the Wind, the Notebook, and movies of that calibre for me.
I greatly disliked the changes made from the book (and just barely liked the book itself). Jane Seymour was the perfect Elise, though; she was gorgeous.
A "smashing" film - one of the best romantic films I've seen. Actually, perhaps it should be considered a tragedy or perhaps a romantic tragedy as it isn't a happy ending...still it is one of my favorites. I watched it with my parents - my dad said I was a hopeless romantic but I think it would be more true to say that I am a hopeful romantic...
This movie broke my heart. It oozes sticky sticky sap. But it draws you in like a magnet. You embrace it as a lover only to look down and see a dagger sticking out of your heart. Also it makes you speak in mixed poetic metaphors... Stay away from time travel, kids. It will SCREW up your life!
A classic time travel love story, about a man compelled to travel back into the past to find a woman he's been obsessed with. Great work by both Jane Seymour, Christopher Reeve, and Christopher Plummer. Pay close attention to the musical score here. It's exceptional
Perhaps the simplest and cuttest love little film you can ever find, but still it's charming and magical, and so romantic. Give this cutie a chance ^_^
So far, I have only seen this film once, and I don't like giving such high marks to movies I have not had the time to really grow into. But I read Matheson's book back when I was in high school (and loved it), I already knew the soundtrack from back then too, and when I saw the movie, it felt like all the good, romantic bits of "Body Double" without the power drill in the tummy and the sleaze. Being a great time traveller myself, I thoroughly enjoyed the film, which also deals with a theme I am particularly sensitive to: the inaccessibility or loss of one's beloved.
Bid Time Return is one of Richard Matheson's best works, I think, and this movie is very good. It doesn't stick completely with the book, but the choices are valid. Jane Seymour is radiant (imagine), Christopher Reeve is a little stiff, but overall this is a magic movie. And John Barry's score is gorgeous.
The story is really out of the present.I like the setting, the script and the actors and actress. One of the most unforgettable movies I have watched my entire life.
The best movie ever made-this will always be my favorite movie no matter what other movies come out after it. Christopher Reeve & Jane Seymour are amazing in it with one of the best soundtracks ever! If you haven't seen it you have to do so now!!!
OH, the symbolism behind this movie...a hope that everyone finds love like this.....Awesome soundtrack and one I would watch over and over again....wonderful love story......One of my TOP alltime FAVS!!!!
I really love this movie because they are into each other so much that they cannot resist seeing one another. Steve here is so faithful to Jane and he never let go of her.
Timeless... I wasn't sure if I need to categorize this as fantasy genre just because of the time element. There wasn't any time machine stressed in this movie or anything. However, by watching the movie, you won't need to look for answers and wondering how he end up going to the past. For the reason that you'll be riding along to its love story.
I really love this movie. So far...this was the most romantic movie i've ever seen...Love find time to realize that there is one person who means so much to you...Conquers everything till the end...Hopefully, no remake...
