    Hey Demi & Bruce baby Rumer is in this.. Look for the girl w/ Glasses. This I thought was going to be predictable.. well parts yeah but who I thought was the killer So definitely NOT!!! Who I thought it was actually the 2 I thought weren?t!! I?ll give it a C

    What Sorority Row should have done was continue to play on its campy premise, the B-movie characters and dialogue, and come up with a better ending. Then it would have been a lot of fun.
    Five sorority sisters decide to play a prank on a boy who cheated on one of them named Megan...( read more). It's a nasty prank. They make them think Megan overdosed and died from a date rape pill he gave to her, take her out to the woods, and talk about secretly chopping her up and burying her. Unaware she's alive, the boy actually kills Megan in an attempt to chop her up. Everyone, with the exception of Cassidy, out heroine, agrees to bury and never speak of it again. Unfortunately, six months later, they all begin to die one by one by someone who knows what they did. Wow, what a bad premise, but a great one if this is supposed to be a black comedy.
    Every character is bland. They're all supposed to be stereotypical horror movie characters - the queen bitch, the Asian, the slut, the nerd, etc. But all the actors do is represent the cliche, as opposed to maybe having more fun with it. Even Carrie Fisher's shotgun wielding dorm maiden isn't as much fun as I was hoping it would be. The revelation of the killer and the reason is just stupid. It's like they weren't even trying.
    When i saw the trailer for the film in a packed theatre, the audience laughed at the premise, at the title, and the whole movie. And judging from the way the film was meant to play out, this should have been the campy, fun, hilariously gory B-movie experience the trailer was advertising. But the film is so predictable, bland (there's that word again), and unentertaining that there's really no point to even consider seeing it.

Cassidy wants to report it to the authorities, but alpha uber-bitch Jessica browbeats the others into dumping Megan's body (and the tire iron) down a mineshaft. At the graduation party eight months later, the girls are texted a photo of a hand grasping a tire iron. As they begin to die one by one, the question is whether Megan has come back from the dead, or is there another explanation? Sorority Row is a perfectly serviceable slasher movie, fuelled by a) who gets it next (and how), and b) who is doing it. If this is the sort of movie you enjoy, then you'll enjoy this one.

    There was an aspect I particularly liked, and that was the look of the movie - it is beautifully photographed - points awarded for cinematography, because it is filmed with much greater care than is usually the case for this sort of movie.

    Two elements which pleased me less, though. One is the answer to who is doing it. This struck me as the least probable possibility, with a motive which is less than credible.

    The other - and please read no further if you don't like spoilers, because this is a biggie - is the last five minutes. The climax is proceeding very nicely, and all looks lost, when help comes from an unexpected quarter. This turns out to be Ellie, played by Rumer Willis. Now Ellie has spent pretty much the entire movie as a snivelling, whimpering, hysterical mess yet, in this final few minutes, she becomes a Rambo-lite lean, mean killing machine (because she'd do anything for her sisters, you understand), in one of the biggest and least believable character switches in the memory of this particular moviegoer.

    Sorority Row is a movie that knows exactly whom they're appealing to and what kind of film it has to be in order to succeed in its quest to appeal. It's a mottled mess of slasher-film clichés and campy, catty dialogue with less-than-star-making performances by a disposable cast. ...( read more)But it succeeds in hitting its mark so much more than most movies.

    There is plenty of flesh being flashed around as the young "sisters" go around partying like it's 1999. That's exactly the way this film's plot plays out, too; like a slasher revival from the late 90s that was kick-started by Wes Craven's Scream. This new collegiate blood-fest is essentially the retarded sister engendered by the formula (the whodunnit gore-fest) that Craven's film reintroduced to hormonal teenagers over 10 years ago.

    The revelation at the climax is a little bit of a let-down as you find out who's been doing all the hacking, but all the action leading up to it is well-worth the disappointment you may or may not feel by the end of the film. The methods employed to kill off over-sexed characters in this flick are definitely worthy of a creativity award. And that alone is reward enough for the patient movie watcher.

    Additionally, Carrie Fisher turns in a kick-ass performance as a no-nonsense bitch of a house mother. Don't mess with this bitch, or else. But go ahead and see this bitch of a movie! Maybe you'll even learn a thing or two to use as a retort the next time you encounter a slutty sorority sister with an attitude problem.

    k this movie was hilarious from beginning to end. i thoght this was not really a scary horror movie but more like a movie like when a stranger calls it is so easy to predict that it was funny in the end although it was still pretty good

    Don`t like horrors at all, but this is not horror, this is sh*t.. Only one murder worth remembering, that can scare you for a second.. Killer - no sense.. All in all, poorly spent money and time..

    This movie will remind you of Scream, I know what you did last summer and some other thrillers, but I love that sort of movies. The story had its thrilling moments and also bitchy and funny ones. I just didn't like that they showed a little too much 'skin' to make it look really ...( read more)slutty. The different ways of killing were really cool! Sorority Row is worth watching for both genders, although the males will love it more I think.
