    SPOILERS- SPOILERS- SPOILERS- SPOILERS

The disdain, Sam Raimi, had for venom was obvious. From the contrived arrival of the meteor, to the objective 'evil suit' Peter puts on, wthe black one he put's on when he's feeling a little low. The amount of time he had in this film, to even Venom's role in Spider-man's near defeat; the small, wirey, almost precoscious venom holding Spider-man down, while the humongous Sand-man pummels him. To even the end, when Venom is disposed with by some metal bars and a grenade.

In comparison. Sandman, based on the sixties' comic book criminal (unlike Venom's eighties' origin's) is greatly expanded from his comic alter-ego. From his daughter suffering from 'plasticwire'upthenose'itus, to his greatly laboured, sympathetic backstory. To his "well-thought-out" transformation into Sandman(compare this to Venom's origin.) To his massive size in the end battle, dwarfing the inconsequential venom. On a final note, Sandman, give me a dream, has a better end.

I was looking forward to this coming out. I love 1 & 2. All the reviews I've read, between newspapers, tv and the internet, have all said bad things about it. I don't like sitting through movies that are bad (I'm sure nobody does). Any one who liked 1 and 2 and has seen 3, would you recommend it?

I was really fan of the second one and I was expecting after all thoese trouble he went through he would be alot better person !!!! why in th hell he become so selfish and just wanted to use Mary G for the time he is not busy with enjoying himself???
and why did harry didn't become a monster like his father after going the same thing?
and it was so sad that we lost harry the way that his father died with the blade of theire jet!
to tell you the truth at the end I was so dissapointed that I wish that marry G haven't accept him back!

in my opinion i beleive that this is definetly the worst of the three. it started off with it going straight into the story and getting right into the action which was a really good start. but as it went on it began to drag on and got a little cheesy at some parts. they also spent very little time with venom which i believe was a very bad thing. even though i say this it was really funny in parts as well and was full with a lot of action. overall i would say they could have done a lot better and mayby shldnt have put in so many villians as it gave little time for each one. making da film 2 drag and then ended with what i thought, was a crappy ending. but we can be sure for a fourth as the director commented after the film " theres DEFINATLY going to be a fourth!"

Bad script? Are you kidding me? The first one was embarassing. The second one was perfectly good. This one suited me absolutely fine. There was not one bad line in the movie. Give me a break.

I love the first and the second spider man movies and this third one was perfect, there may be some things to work on like the character of venom. I like this guy very much and i would like to see more fighting between spidey and venom i hope theres a fourth fifth and sixth.

Okay so Spiderman was good. Unno what ppl are saying that it’s bad and they just TRY to be funny. When really THEY don’t know what humor is…
The so called GAY bike thing, it is him… it’s supposed to be Peter Parker
    “Nerdy and all that.”
Those dance moves were funny, like come on have a friken sense of humor!
And if they so called “over exaggerated with the sandman being Big and him being the uncles killer IT’S A MOVIE they always do that… they change it from the books (comics) its not supposed to go STEP by STEP By step. I have to admit they could have done better I personally think the movie was great maybe b-cuz I’m a huge fan but the way ppl are putting it down b-cuz there being Way to picky I have to say it’s kind of dumb honestly.

They were right, this is the perfect cap to the series because, although I loved the first two, after seeing this I pray they don't make another one. I was SO disappointed in this movie because it was too forced:

o The explanation with the butler
o Dr. Connors effortless assessment of the symbiote
    o Venom's underplayed arrival
    o Sandman's creation
o Eddie Brock's mention in the first movie went completely forgotten
    o Peter's dance sequence
    o The anti-climactically cheesy climax

In the comics these shortcuts are fine but a filmmaker should know better. I know that Sam Raimi wasn't completely happy that the producers wanted him to use Venom, and it showed. This film was not taken seriously.

It was merely entertaining; it wasn't an interesting and fully explored chapter of Spider-man's life.

Slow start, pure retarded center, good ending but not good enough to redeem it on the whole. Venom was just rushed in at the end. Would have made much more sence to save him for a fourth. The "comedy" wasn't funny. I hate Bruce Campbell and his role was stupid, making light of a serious part of the film. The audience in my cinema made it seem worse though. Laughing at things that just weren't funny. Peter Parker's scooter, hahahaha.... no, not funny! And there are much better and more entertaining ways of making a character a bad guy than have him dance.

There are many good things to say about this movie, but alas, there are also some negatives.
    Good things:
    1. The action/fight scenes are amazing
    2. Topher Grace was much better as Eddie Brock/Venom than I thought he would be
    3. I really liked the Harry/New Goblin storyline
    4. Venom looked awesome
    5. Half of the black suit story line was great, like the fight in the bar, accidently hitting MJ, the fight with Harry, getting Brock fired and stealing Gwen from him...
    6. Every scene with J. Jonah Jameson
    7. I liked it when Harry tried to destroy Peter's personal life and starting playing mind games with him like he did in the comics, I actually wish there had been more of this in the movie.

    Bad things:
    1. Half of the black suit story....the dance scene in the bar was ridiculous and not needed, and they should have toned down the "Saturday Night Fever" walk scene.....just not necassary.
    2. They overexagerated the Sandman's powers....they could have done a better job with him, he's supposed to be bad guy with cool powers, not a giant sand-monster.
    3. While I understand the whole "revenge" theme with the black suit, that should have been reserved for Peter
s conflict with Harry...having the Sandman be the killer of Uncle Ben was weird and not necassary.
    4. Not enough Venom or development with the black suit/Venom story. What there was in the movie was good, but I would have liked more. And I'm cool with not explaining the background of the symbiot as some people have complained about, because there is no way they could have done the story fromt the comics, and this leaves it open to the imagination of the viewer.

Overall, I think this movie had the potential to be the best comic book movie ever, but beacuse of some flaws, it wasn't as good as the first two Spider-Man movies. I feel that they probobly should have excluded the Sandman from this movie, put more deveolpment into Harry trying to ruin Peter's life with mind games and attacks at the Goblin, while at the same time, pulling off the black suit story and the Venom story with more development and action. I have a feeling this will be the last one because they really tried to get a lot into this movie, when splitting it into two would have been better. That said, this is still a good movie and is a must see in theaters. There is plenty of humor, great action scenes, good acting, and its a lot of fun. It did not ruin the Spider-Man franchise like some other sequels have done (Matrix sequels, Batman Forever, Superman III, etc).

i went along to the preview having not seen Spiderman 1 or 2, i thought it was an ok movie made well for being based on a comic book. Ofcourse they are going to stray from the story line of the comic book, a 2 hour movie needs a more complex story line to keep people interested. I enjoyed the humour, i thought it seemed to keep the viewers interested and entertained. However, personally not my fave genre and i wouldn't see it again.

Is there coming a 4? I really want to know! I really think it really isn't necessary, it's best to stop as a triology as the lord of the rings! This film ends it all. Spider-Man has defeted everyone and learned a lot about himself! End of story! Maybe you could see the marrage in the Bonus material and the saving of the daughter?
