Simon was a big mistake but Chip Fields and Robert Alda more than made up for it in their respective roles. Mr. White is an excellent bad guy, would have been nice to see more of him.

  For me, the 1970s <i>Spider-Man</i> live action movies were great fun. I looked back on it with a lot of fondness and nostalgia. Someone unfamiliar with the series may not like it, but then again, you might if you know what to expect. Despite its low-budget and lack of supervillains, I think the film still felt like an "epic" adventure. The acting was solid all the way around even if the 70s clothing styles may make you laugh. I think Nicholas Hammond was a great choice to play Peter Parker / Spider-Man and the rest of the cast is good. The wall-crawling, web-slinging and fight scenes are solid.

  FAR too many story lines going on at once. In this movie, there is Spiderman, Mary Jane, Gwen Stacey, "New" Goblin Venom and Sandman. Each character is given the bare amount of time for development.

  It was an ok films with great effects. Short on story. It went on about 20 mins too long. I hate Tobey. I hated him when I knew him, and I hate that that closet ... Gets to do what he does.
