It was slow halfway thru the movie, kind of confusing while you're waiting for it to make sense, but if you continue on, it's actually good.
amazing.. Deff. not what I expected this to be.. this one slipped under the radar.. the guy from grandmas boy did a hell of a job..

Very creepy and eerie. This guy was amazingly weird which is what kept this film going the whole way. Surprisingly good.
Great ending and twist. The soundtrack, cinematography, acting, and script were all bonuses you wouldn't expect from a movie like this.
the acting, save amber tamblyn, was pretty good. but the story was a pile of crap. completely stupid and unbelievable. and i'm really over movies making people with asthma look like psychotics. someone has a mental breakdown dealing with homicidal thoughts? oh, just give them an inhaler. lame. overall, i hated the movie and wished the main two male actors had found roles in movies that didn't suck ass.
PREEEEETY weird... and Joel Moore from Grandma's Boy is especially creepier in this movie... I say it's worth watching.
A perfectly decent little thriller about the stereotypical loner who is befriended by the cute girl, only to have him turn out to be a complete psycho.
The biggest problem with this is that everything you really need to know about the film is in the 3 minute trailer, there are virtually NO surprises to the movie. It is very well put together, but if you've watched the trailer, you've all but seen the film.
Worth a rental, but don't get your hopes up for anything earth-shattering.
A nicely done Pychological thriller. At points disturbing and awhole ot better then their fist film, Hachet.
The over all movie was surprising. The most surprising was Joel Moore's performance. I don't think this would of been as good if he didn't do such a good job.
Pretty decent watch.
Great horror film in the tradition of May. It's PG-13, making it inherently less distrubing than May, it nonetheless provides the same effects as May. We find a troubled introvert, this time an artist, who has trouble reaching out to others. Once he makes initial contact he doesn't go away. Wow i really have nothing bad to say about this film. It's done very well and tastefully and Joel Moore does a great great job as main character/director/screenwriter. Highly recommended!!!
A boring movie about a boring manic depressive who walks around looking and acting like he belongs in the looney bin. You never really knew why he was like this with exception a a mention about his father at the very end which is the only time there was a little excitement. This movie didn't give me the opportunity to see any spiraling but that it had spiraled by the time it begun.
A pretty effective character driven thriller that features some fantastic acting from all the leads, some creepy direction and a strange jazz-infused score that I really didn't like at first, but it grew on me as it pushed forward. I wasn't really convinced of the "big twist" in the finale, but it was rectified soon after with a what I thought was a very fitting ending. I'm totally convinced now that Amber Tamblyn is the cutest thing on two legs, and I have to hand it to her for taking a part in this film after her goody-two-shoes turn in her short lived series "Joan of Arcadia". I'd like to see Joel Moore in more movies too, he's got some serious acting talent for a gawky beanpole. Well worth checking out even though it's kind of slow and drags at certain points.
Great twist to the ending. I had mixed emotional reactions to the geeky lead, Joel Moore and admiration (sort of) towards his best friend's character played by Zachary Levi. Amber is perfect for the innocent love interest.
This board looks lonely. Be the first to talk about "Spiral" !
