An instant classic. If you've never seen this and call yourself a movie goer, then you need to get your ass in gear and watch a piece of film history. Yet, its sad to look back and realize what has become of all the potential from this movie. An awesome adventure of four boys who are on a path to seek a local boy's dead body. And all the while they grow up to be young men.
This Was Probably One Of the Weirdest Movies I have Ever Seen. No Of Course there Wasn't Mass Murders Running Around and Chopping People's Heads But, It was Def. Intense. It Showed How Much Friends Help Get You Through Life One Tiny Step At a Time. I Know Angelina and Stevie Keep Me Going By Just Being there For Me Every Day.
Great film that gives us a story of friendship and hardships. Interesting to see a Stephen King film that isn't a horror/mystery. Definitely Jerry O'Connell's best movie (unfortunately enough for him...)
A sweet coming-of-age story, involving four 12-year old boys, a dead body and an awesome Kiefer Sutherland (as the bully). The movie is all about the friendship between these boys and how it was the best/most memorable time of their life. The movie is shot in a narrative way, which works perfectly in this case. The child actors (one of them the late River Phoenix) are splendid. Truly believable performances. Some people will probably like this movie more than others, but its generally hard to dislike it. I might had consider it a classic if I hadn't seen a bunch of similar films before this one. For me, it was an enjoyable trip, but a few miles short of a classic.
It Was Probably One of the Strangest Movies I have ever Seen. Even though it doesn't display Mass Murders Chopping People's heads Off, It shows how much Friends Mean and How they help you Take Each Tiny Step At a Time. I Know I Get Through My Life Day By Day with knowing the Fact Stevie and Angelina are there With Me.
I really enjoyed this & I think it's the best adaptation of a Stephen King story along with The Shawshank Redemption, The Cast are just amazing, all of them specially Corey Feldman and the music score is beautiful
Nada mejor que un viaje con los amigos para descubrir el verdadero significado de la amistad, para describir lo que todos sabían, que por desgracia, dentro de unos años las cosas ya no serán las mismas porque serán mayores, aun estando en el mismo pueblo.
This movie had a lot of similarities with The Goonies, which was made one year before and also stared Corey Feldman. I love The Goonies and I most certainly loved this one too.
This movie is so sad so if you watch it get ready to cry.because i cryed when i seen this movie so i would suppose you would cry.so just warning you it is freaky ,scary and sometimes a nightmare and also a crysing movie. so just wanting to warn you so that you know that if you watch it you will probably get a nightmare or you might cry or get freaked out or scared.so just remember that i have told you this for incase any of these things happen to you crying scaring freaking or get a nightmare if this happens call
No matter how many years pass, this movie still has the same effect on me. A great story about boyhood, and the bonds we make while we are young. It's both a tragic and an inspiring film that will always stand the test of time.
Amazing. Gordie, Chris, Teddy, and Vern. The perfect group. Best friends. They all have a bad home life. This movie is laugh-out-loud, and also provides a great story.
A most Deffiant Classic for sure.
good Movie, good story life, cast great moments etc.etc an etc. good story of growing up, boyhood, bro's, firedns etc. Greatness
One of my all time Stephen King adaptations! All of the kids in this flick went on to become megastars! Check out River Phoenix....too bad he's gone! This film defines the trials and tribulations of pre-teen America! Lots of warmth and sadness.
