June 24, 2009extremely poor film. the plot complety destroys all other trek as the planet vulcan no longer exists! they appear to have little sense of scale and there use of physics isn't just fantastic its a load of rubish.
the special effects are fast and slightly painful on the eyes not to mention a radical departure from all previous trek.
where is the engine in the enginering section of the ship all it seems to be is a couple of large yellow metal tubes? and the scene in the water treatment was one of the worst and cheesyest bits of cinema in the history of humanity.
there are a few good acting performances but everytime there on the bridge it looks like a bunch of actors standing on a set not a starship.
most of the film is extremly predictable you see the first 2-3 seconds of a scene and pratically know how its going to end, that said the film itself seems to not know where its going and randomly jumps to a conclusion that isn't half as clever as its ment to be. -

June 2, 2009Should have been rated "G" for the "GARBAGE" it is. JJ Abrams deserves the "Tar & Feather Award"--then needs to be tarred and feathered--for how he spit all over the official history established in all the movies and the series (to say nothing of all the gaps filled in by the novel series). Even making an "alternate timeline" HAS to conform to plausible conclusions based on what's established. JJ...do us all a favor and stick with non-sci fi stuff and especially don't get your filthy paws on Star Trek ever again. Shame Roddenberry couldn't come out of his grave and strangle you, you loser.

May 15, 2009i have watched Star Trek 3 times now, can someone please tell me if scotty calls kirk captain picard, my son says he does, it happens when they r escaping the black hole, thaks.

February 5, 2009I never was a fan of Star Trek, I don't know anything about it, but I am curious to see what J.J. Abrams would do with it. He did very well with "Lost" and "Cloverfield" wasn't so bad.

January 12, 2008I'm sorta on the fence about how a prequel is going to be, but whatever happens they have got a great cast together and it'll be worth seeing anyway!
