Eh, I'm on the fence with this one, yet i do prefer Star Trek over Star Wars (go ahead and call me an asshole) but I'm not sure if this film will satisfy me.
Hmm so Star Trek is geeky? And Talent shows and Soaps are so much better?
I personally cant wait to see the new Star Trek film, American networks can carry on trying to stamp out anything sci-fi but they will never kill the Trek...Live Long and Prosper!
I have no interest in a JJ Abrahams movie based on a geeky TV series with cardboard props and plastic space ships... but Zachary Quinto and Masi Oka will drag me to the theatre.
I have to see as soon as it comes out. I am a huge Star Trek fan. And now that I know that Karl Urban is going to be the next Dr. McCoy, I can't wait to see this movie. I'm sure to love it....

OMG! OMG! I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE. its the very beginning of the USS Enterprise. the short trailer has got me itching for it lol. i love Star Trek movies. its from the Producer of 'Cloverfield' and the creator of 'Lost'...JJ Abrams.
I can't wait to see this movie! I hope J.J. Abrams does a good job....The history of prequels hasn't exactly been the brightest. Since the failure of Star Trek: Nemesis, and the cancellation of Star Trek: Enterprise, Trek has been trekking downhill. I disagree of the idea of a prequel, but it is all that us Star Trek fans have to look forward to, (besides a few fan films if u are interested in those) I really hope that J.J. Abrams can bring back Star Trek, and bring the ratings back up to bar.
you know i have to watch this twice.
once in my Starfleet outfit. and the 2nd time as a Klingon. can not wait for it to come out. then, id can not wait for it to come out in DVD..I NEED THIS MOVIE..

I really hope this is going to be good...but I wont get my hopes up...if it does end up being complete crap i'm sure i'll at least like it for Simon Pegg and Karl Urban...and of course Leonard Nimoy!
OOOOOHHHHH!!! This is just what the franchise needs. A Reboot!! Very exciting idea for an ageing trekkie to take. Just do it well, that's all I ask. I have faith with J.J. Abrams at the helm. Make it so boys. Make it so.
This movie could very well relaunch or destroy the franchises chance of ever coming back for good. Obviously I am hoping for the sooner. Abrams dammit don't let me down!
I so cannot wait until this movie comes out...it is going to be awesome! Although I don't like the fact that they went all the way to the beginning...but it is going to be great.
I'm iffy on the choice of Abrams as director, since I've not liked, well, any of his other projects (Felcity, Lost, Alias, M:I 3), but Zach Quinto as Spock is just too cool to pass up.
