Although people say this movie is a "Star Wars rip-off" I have to disagree. This movie is a stand alone flick that has withstood the test of time and has become a cult favorite.
Awfully marketed left, right and centre, and with more than a few allusions to Star Wars, as everyone says, but still undoubtably excellent - some original ideas here also, I love the style of the whole slaves in the mines part, it reminds me of Plato's story about the cave.
I hope this is on DVD, I loved it as a kid, blatant StarWars rip-off though it is. Wanna see it again!
