There's so much cheese here, this movie should be accompanied by a bottle of Shiraz. An eternal embarrassment for all involved, most notably the FX team. Think "Star Wars" shot in some guy's garage with Playmobil toys as rocket ships.

An awesome Star Wars imitator which goes its own interesting direction. I liked the rainbow spectrum of stars in space, it looks all Christmassy. There are some great sequences of creature and robot stop motion animation. Marjoe Gortner is a freakin' great wizard/warrior/pilot wi...( read more)th magical powers and laser sword fighting skills. He looks hilarious with his big afro hair, big wide blue eyes, gleaming teeth and red leather jumpsuit. His voice is marvelous. His co-pilot is Stella-Star, played by Caroline Munroe. She is a sexy italian actress with big black boots and a leather harness. Their adventures cover the cosmos, with many different planets. There's an ocean beach planet with warrior women on horses and a giant monster, a sub-zero ice planet, the haunted planet, a post-apocalyptic junkyard, a radioactive prison, and a space station which looks like a giant metal hand. The baddie is Count Zarth Arn (Joe Spinell of "Maniac" fame) and over-the-top villain with a nasty moustache and big red cape. There's a great appearance by Mr. David Hasselhoff (of Knight Rider fame) as Prince Simon. There are also the space police characters: a robot named "L" with a cowboy accent, and his sidekick "Thor" who looks like the bald Mr. Clean. Christopher Plummer appears as the sedate and serene good Emperor of the Galaxy; with a laughable performance. This movie is a joy to watch every time. I think the Italians were trying to put forth a serious space movie and ended up with something different. I like!

Seems liken who ever see's this movie mentions how chessey it is, and in the chesse department I have to give it 5 stars. Only reason I rented this was because it has the same director as in Alien Contamination, Luigi Cozzi I figured I give him another chance. Must admit no sure ...( read more)how he has lasted all these years, This movie is ready for Mystery Science theather. Took me a while to figure out the gay looking guy was David Hasselhoff. Wouldn't add it to my collection, a rental only and hope return postage is included.

Yikes. This movie gets a little credit for having a hott lead role and for incorporating stop motion photography. Other than that... not a fan. ps hasslehoff blows

I am rating this way, way too high, but for ridiculous costumes, a southern fried robot, quotability, blatant Star Wars thievery, and Hasselhoff's hair, this is five stars in my book.

One of the best of the "so bad it's good" movies. Obviously a Star Wars ripoff, but with completely ridiculous acting, writing and effects. But for fans of bad movies, this is top of the heap stuff.

The only reason to see this movie is Carolne Munroe. She wears great outfits...looks gorgeous...and gets in every foxy position imaginable. Watch it!

It's CTY tradition, to watch this HORRIBLE movie. I must say, the cheesiness of the dialogue made it quite amusing, but REALLY boring at the same time.
  • November 1, 2007
Possibly one of the worst science fiction films ever made, this blatant attempt to copy the success of "Star Wars" features some truly awful performances by Caroline Munro, Marjoe Gortner, Christopher Plummer, David Hasselhoff, and a number of other actors who should have known ...( read more)better.
In spite of the mediocre editing, terrible writing, poor directing, and incredibly bad special effects that look like they were done on a $1.98 budget, the film is such cheese that it's almost (but not quite) a pleasure to watch. Just don't listen too closely to the dialog or think too much about the enormous holes in the plot or you'll want to give yourself a lobotomy with a grapefruit spoon.

OH MY GOD! BRILLIANT! YES! AMAZING! AHHH! :D

Okay, so, not really in the normal sense. But it's a serious blast of superfun. Basically, this is the movie that everyone thought George Lucas was making when he did Star Wars. The cheesy, pulpy, serial-esque piece of junk that once ...( read more)had names like Commander Cody, Flash Gordon, and Buck Rogers. While Lucas went onto do something amazing, one Luigi "Lewis Coates" Cozzi did this tour de force of blindingly fast pace, abundant optical effects, and easily some of the best logic in a sci-fi movie ever. If you enjoyed the campiness of Mike Hodges' Flash Gordon (1980), I highly suggest this as the laughable "other flick to see." Hell, it's worth it just for Christopher Plummer and David Hasselhoff! =D
