MCT:September 4, 2008This movie was aight. Kinda weak deaths. The ending is a little fuckin' stoopid. After all, buddyguy bashed the other buddy's gourd in off the floor, so why the fuck didn't he do that to the crazy bitch at the end? I fear this question will never be answered. Now I just don't know what the fuck to do... Also, the killer's reasoning begs the question, whatever happened to just shooting the school up? Why wait decades when you can go out in a pathetic blaze of twisted glory in 24 hours? Then again, that's so 90's along with the motive, and the killer's younger years were most likely pre-90's... The title is misleading as well, I thought it would be like crazy-ass gory-ass traps and shit, turned out to be some fuckin' fruitloop with a hook, etc. This movie didn't quite knock my socks off, more like rolled them down a tad, and then disappointed.

At a new years eve party on top of a huge abandoned skyscraper 5 people get text messages inviteing them down to the 27th floor for what they believe to be a very exclusive VIP party once there the 5 guests and 2 partycrashers who tag along notice this isnt the average party as they are handed riddles and begin to get killed off one by one. Characters are very much unlikeable and you find yourself hopeing most get killed off fast decent amount of blood makes this worth a watch and the plot isnt that bad either this is another *Dimension Extreme* release

Watchable fluff. Unlikable characters makes it easier to cheer on their demise. Not nearly as brutal or graphic as it would like you think (though there's still some there, to be sure). A rental or something to watch if it's on TV.

MCT:July 16, 2008Steel Trap had a really great plot that the makers could have gone anywhere with, but they chose to go with the most unoriginal "expected" route possible. As you start to get into the movie its actually really good. But after you witness the ending it pretty much just blows what you just spent the past 80 minutes watching. Steel trap had pretty good gore. With again a really nice plot, but it had no likeable charecters you just wanted everyone to drop dead and the ending was one of the worst horror endings I've seen in a long while. I would say its worth a check just dont go in with high hopes.

This movie wasn't very good, but then again it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The acting was perhaps the thing that hurt this movie the most, that and character development (including relationships). But the killing scenes weren't bad, and some scenes were somewhat commendable, but I still wouldn't pay money to see it.

MCT:June 28, 2008I'm really beginning to understand that making a good horror film is very difficult, because there sure are a lot of terrible ones. The script in this one is completely ridiculous.
