Holy Shiz factor five. You know that saying when the crap hits the fan? Nay, when the Rose Red hits the fan. Stephen King, "Master of Horror" really screwed the pooch on this particular production. Not only was I morally and logically offended, but I was left with no feelings of entertainment or any type of horror, excluding my feelings of discontent and disbelief that any merciful god in heaven could ever let such a horrible film be released.
He can aid Moses in parting the Red Sea, but cannot in someway hinder and/or destroy all those involved with and the film itself. This film, if it can be called that centers around the story of a grouchy old professor and a small 15 year old autistic girl who has the ability to end the lives of those who cross her.
What I actually Have come to suspect, is that the film, was actually MADE by a small 15 YEAR OLD AUTISTIC GIRL, named Craig Baxtley.
I believe that the AFI should completely and totally restrict this movie from ever seeing the light of day again. No movie with three unending hours of static shots, can be classified as a horror. Maybe a documentary on how to kill a baby hamster, but not horror.
A group of people with psychic powers are invited to spend the night in a haunted house.

June 2, 2007I think this is the best horror movie ever. It is the only horror movie I will ever watch all the way through. I love this movie, it is one of my favorites! Just a word of advice don't watch it alone in the dark!

April 8, 2007I just love this movie/film or what the heck you call it. :P
It is very exiting, but it's not so good that you must change DVD-disk in the end of the movie/film. :(
But it's really good when you finally gets trough it. I mean, it's 4 hours.. -
April 3, 2007Originally a great Stephen King story, that's lost some of it's sting in this made for TV adaption.Watch it on TV & you will be sorry you watched it with all the comercial cuts.Watching it on DVD is a different situation. You will enjoy it if you like Stephen King's stories."Rose Red" shouldn't be watched alone. If it's blood letting you like, the "locker scene" in Stanley Kubrick's "FULL METAL JACKET" is worthy of it's Restricted sensorship."FULL METAL JACKET" will please all Stephen King fans just to see the leatherlung D.I. (Lee Ermey)terminated in the locker room before the passing out parade from boot-camp.
