Steps is based on the "Odessa Steps" segment of director Sergei Eisenstein's classic movie Battleship Potemkin. The DVD also includes Rybczynski's art film, The Fourth Dimension. The director's work has garnered numerous awards, including an Oscar and an Emmy.
