Charlie is infertile, and her husband Andrew can't land a job without the help of his wife's influential father. Sensing that they need to get away from it all, Charlie and Andrew pack up the car and head for the family cabin. Later, as they near their destination, Andrew runs a man off the side of the road. Confused and injured, the man accepts Andrew invitation to rest at the cabin until help arrives.
