Torture. I still don't know why I agreed to watch it, peer pressure maybe. Clicheed storyline, awful score, even more awful acting. Predictable, superficial. Every other adjective for "bad" u can think of. Give this money to Werner Herzog. Bye

It would be lazy to describe this as James Bond meets Rocky and Bullwinkle, but I am, so I just did.

I've seen this sort of film so many times and this was so personality-free, I was a good half way through it before I worked out I hadn't seen it before.

To be fair, I was the wrong age for this. Were I younger perhaps it wouldn't have seemed so dull, maybe Alicia Silverstone wouldn't have been so rubbish (unlikely), it's possible that I would have bought a terrible Mickey Rourke as a computer scientist and conceivably I may have swallowed down that the dull lead actor wasn't a 25 year old man playing a fourteen year old boy.

In the end only good old Bill Nighy, hamming it up outrageously as a suitable creepy character saved this from completely falling flat on its arse.

It might be a good fit for the tween action mindset, but I just couldn't get that into it. But it was definitely well made and seems to have appeal.

A great movie that followed the book really well. My only issue with it is that they changed the personality of some of the characters and made them comical when they are meant to be serious characters.

Well... but hey it's basically mini James Bond, let's just throw all those books of reason and natural laws out the window! Then it's enjoyable.

It was completely different. Sabina's not supposed to show up until the 3rd book so it wuz weird. Also, they skipped a lot, like the piece of paper Ian left and he didn't go to the library or go 2 th@ field where he wuz almost killed. It wuz still pretty good, though. Can't w8 4 Point Blanc; I wonder if it's out yet.

If you have already read and enjoyed the Alex Rider books, then you are obviously going to enjoy this. Its like a children's version of 'Casino Royale'. It's based on Alex Rider's first mission as a teenage spy, and this film treats it as a real spy film. The stunts are fun to watch and although aren't exactly explosive, are still fun to watch. The story is easy to understand and doesn't go on for too long. The British film, also boasts a fantastic combination of cast. British stars such as Bill Nighy and Damian Lewis, mix with American talent like Missi Pyle and Mickey Rourke. Alex Pettyfer also gives a good performance as Alex Rider, and although some moments seem cheesy, he give a very good portrayal of the role. If you enjoy spy films and want something a little lighter to watch on a wet afternoon, then 'Stormbreaker' is a good film to watch.

terrible completely ignores the books and creates a James Bond-esque character which is not what Alex is about

Would be a really fun movie for teenagers to see one of their own as a spy ... and there's little to object to in the film. But the plot just dies at the end.

This wasn't too bad, but I felt like i'd seen it all before. It had an interesting mix of characters but Alicia was under-used i thought. Oh & Alex didn't look 14 either lol. Other than that, it was good to watch.

Not a bad spy movie, bit similar to Spy Kids, and it had a good storyline and all, but it was just good, nothing I haven't seen before.
