Fox returns as the voice of Stuart Little, a three-inch tall talking mouse adopted by a human family in New York City. When his older "brother", George (Jonathan Lipnicki), starts spending more time with his other friends, playing games that Mrs. Little (Geena Davis) feels are too dangerous for the diminutive Stuart, the lonely fellow goes in search of companionship and finds it when he makes the acquaintance of Margalo (voice of Melanie Griffith), a tiny bird wounded by a sinister falcon (voice of James Woods) that is relentlessly pursuing her. While Margalo's busted wing heals up the Littles' house, Stuart grows closer to her and falls in love, but his new pal is hiding a secret that involves the villainous falcon and jewelry theft. "She's in terrible trouble, and I have to help her. I mean, what am I, a man or a... mouse?" We have the same actors, the same director. 'Stuart Little 2' is bigger but is it any better than the first one? This sequel is more stuck to the actual plot of the original novel. Stuart has gotten the acceptance of the family and they live their normal lives. The mother of the family is being over-protective of Stuart. You know, the normal stuff in a family with kids... This time, the plot is around Stuart's plans to rescue his new friend, a canary bird called Margalo. Once again, I have to say the same basic things as I said of the first one. The films strength lies in the voice actors. This time we've got Melanie Griffith and James Woods in important roles alongside Nathan Lane and Michael J. Fox. All of these actors contribute nicely to get their characters more "alive". In overall, a good family film but I do hope that parents would rather read the original novel at some point to their kids. It is actually better than the movies.

Once again Stuart is up to his old antics of getting involved with everything around him. Falcon and Margalow are just a bit of excitement to spice up an otherwise typical family drama.

While not quite as enchanting as the first in the series it has its own unique appeal. It deals with the continuation of the Little family and their `son' Stuart (a little white mouse), who is voiced by Michael J. Fox. Hugh Laurie plays Stuart's father and Geena Davis his mother. Stuart meets and "rescues" a canary Margalo, voiced by Melanie Griffith, but little does he know she is in league with a killer falcon, (James Woods), very much like Hades in Hercules. Margalo grows to like Stuart and the family and now it's up to Stuart, Snowbell and Steve Zahn as Monty, the alley cat to save her from the Falcon's evil clutches. The sound track including Celine Dion's single I'm Alive was also great.
