MCT:July 5, 2008I've read reviews of a poor plot, but I disagree. It's a simple but classic vampire story. With two brothers--the Badass Radu and Uber hot Stefan.

MCT:April 10, 2008Of all the films that Full Moon pictures did, this series is by far the best thing they ever cranked out. Subspecies is fantastic and introduced us to the greatest vampire villain on screen since Dracula...meet Radu!!! Plus, the sequels were all good too! Definitely well worth a look.

A great film to start the cutting-edge trilogy. Not a bad movie to start you on the vampire chronicles of Radu. But the sequel is way more of a movie you will enjoy. Still not a bad way to start it. I mean this was before Fullmoon realized they had a hit on their hands.

MCT:October 5, 2007Is there any reason why a woman is depicted on the cover of this film 'subspecies'? And she's reclined in a stereotypical sexual pose... a guy looming "over" her, perhaps ready to penetrate her...naw...it's probably my imagination.

It's a Full Moon production about vampires. It's also an older Full Moon production which means that it's not total garbage. To be honest, I haven't seen this movie in like about twelve years (back in the days when I'd rent anything from Full Moon Entertainment) and remember very little from it. The only thing I can say for sure is that it's years better then any of the sequels that came out after it.

Not actually the one I wanted, I was after Subspecies 2, but they didnt have it here. Just another brilliantly bad film, whoever finds it scary needs to be kneecapped.
