Hilarious! It's up there with American Pie!

Jonah Hill and Michael Cera were fantastic as Seth and Evan, two inseparable best friends who get caught up in bringing alcohol for a party. The geeky dude Fogell was great, loved his weirdness. I couldn't stop laughing throughout the whole Mc Lovin' ID card scene where Evan is like, "What? One name? ONE NAME? Who are you? Seal?", LMAO! Also, LOVED the policemen! They were such assholes.

I dug it. Saw it twice. Funnier the first time, but pretty damned hysterical in that awkward teenager way. Dredges up some painful adolescent moments, so be warned.

I thought this was going to be yet anothe typical shitty teen movie....

    ....I was wrong. VERY wrong.
Everything in this movie is hilarious. Jonah Hill is a brilliant actor. Michael Cera; cuteness. The cops are bloody brilliant.

If you haven't seen this then do it. NOW!

What a dumb movie, but it made me laugh! I found myself watching it intently, wondering what was going to happen next. That whole thing with McLovin and the police was pretty good.

This is a hilarious movie. I recomend it to just about anybody. The funniest parts are probably what happens to Seth and Evan once they actually get to the party.

This is the vulgar and hilariously immature little brother to Knocked Up and Juno. Like those two films, it is fresh, true, and brilliantly performed and written. What it lacks in profundity it makes up for in comedy; it is 2007's funniest movie.

Two co-dependent high school seniors (Hill and Cera) are forced to deal with separation anxiety after their plan to stage a booze-soaked party goes awry.

Long live Judd Apatow! I loved Freaks and Geeks when it first came on the scene, and continue to find all of his work hilarious. This will definitely be a movie that has a cult following later in life...like Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Animal House, Dazed and Confused, etc...

If teen comedies about guys trying to "get some" have to exist, than they should at least be as unabashadly obsessed with their own genitals, as Superbad. I don't know if this will hold up as the "the comedy of our generation" as advertisers are dubb...(read more)ing it, but it's damn funny in it's own right. The friendship is believable and the antics tangible to contemporary audiences in a way that a lot of films, particularly those of the teen comedy have not been. If your someone easily turned off(as I am) by overzealous marketing, than understandably your going to think twice before going anywhere near this film. However, if you can pass this stumbling block, you'll be rewarded in laughter what you surrender in time.

I thought it was very funny. Kinda slow at times though, but even still you aren't left wishing they'd get on with it...so that's a plus. I might buy

Absolutely spot on, everything a teenage film should be, and not for the adults definitely, unless they want cringe-mania with their kids

This hilariously true comedy is a must see for anyone of my generation and for any fan of comedy. This is probably the movie that I've laughed the most at after it was over too. Well worth seeing.

Si bien tiene un humor demasiado subido de tono para mi gusto, tiene partes graciosas y otras muy exageradas. Me cayó mal el gordito =S

Now here's a movie that's not for kids! Runchy as hell! But funny none the less! If you liked American Pie, Euro Trip, or I'll even go as far as saying that if you liked Porky's you will love this movie! Go get it and enjoy!

PS. Girls might not like it!

What a fucking hilarious film this is. This film reminds me alot of the first American Pie film. It is a film where all three lads make mistakes or do something awkward that you feel OH GOD NO! It is really funny though. No wonder it was best teenage film since the American Pie trilogy. Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse were good in this film.

It's an 2007 American comedy film, directed by Greg Mottola and starring Jonah Hill and Michael Cera. And I have to say this is one of the best teen comedies ever made. The storyline reminded me little of Animal House and little bit of American Pie.But it has it's own charm as well. What a breakthrough performances for upcoming new stars.Micheal Cera's talent discovered, many roles are waiting for him from now on.Jonah Hill-I saw him few times in comedies but he never had much to work with or the movie sucked. But this time he was like fuckin GOD..He was destined to play this role.It was perfect for him.He was funny as hell, and everytime he says FUCK..I was laughin. This movie has best one-liners.It was fuckin crazy.Mottola did something that has been missing for years. And our infamous, gangsta talking McLovin-his first movie really got in to him.He was great. Christopher and Seth were 2 coolest cops I have ever seen. These 2 were fuckin hilarious. And I have to say Jonah and Micheal became one of the best duos in comedy film period. The film was written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who began working on the script when they were both thirteen years old; they completed a draft by the time they were fifteen. The film's main characters have the same given names as Rogen and Goldberg. The film was one of a string of hits by producer Judd Apatow, inspiring comparisons to Apatow's previous film, Knocked Up, which was released earlier in the summer.
The following will reveal the story.
Evan (Michael Cera) and Seth (Jonah Hill) are friends in their final year of school about to leave for different college. Seth's crush, Jules (Emma Stone), asks Seth to bring alcohol to a party she is hosting and he agrees, as their mutual friend, Fogell, (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) has recently acquired a fake ID and Evan invites his long time crush Becca (Martha MacIsaac) to the party.

While purchasing the alcohol, Fogell is assaulted by a hooded robber and the police are called. The two officers, Michaels (Seth Rogen) and Slater (Bill Hader), who appear to be fooled by the fake ID, offer Fogell a lift to the party, but make numerous stops first. The officers display many instances of incompetence, including drinking on the job, unnecessary use of police lights, and improper use of a firearm. They quickly become friends, referring to Fogell by the one-word name on his fake I.D., McLovin.

While the police officers are talking to Fogell at the liquor store, Seth is hit by a car and as compensation, the driver (Joe Lo Truglio) agrees to take them to a party, where they reason they can steal the alcohol they need. However, the driver is not welcome at the party and Seth and Evan are forced to leave, but not before smuggling out laundry detergent containers that have been filled with beer. They get into an argument about their friendship when Fogell, Slater, and Michaels happen to hit Seth with their police cruiser. As officer Slater prepares to bust the teens to cover up his own blunder, the boys flee into the night. The three finally arrive at Jules's party with the alcohol, still upset from their fight.

At the party, a drunken Becca attempts to have sex with Evan in a secluded upstairs room, but Evan backs down, and a heavily intoxicated Becca ends up vomiting. A drunken Seth attempts to explain his feelings for Jules, but passes out from the drink and accidentally head-butts her, giving her a black eye. Fogell successfully seduces Nicola (Aviva Farber) and gets her into bed, only to have officers Slater and Michaels break up the party. Seth, realizing Evan is passed out on a couch, carries his friend away and back to Evan?s house. They reconcile, thinking about everything they've been through as they've grown up. Officers Slater and Michaels reveal to Fogell that they were aware of his forgery all along, but they wanted to show him they were normal guys too. They pretend to haul him off to jail in front of the entire party to boost his popularity. In return, Fogell signs an affidavit to a concocted story to explain the condition of the wrecked police car which they proceed to have fun destroying.

The following morning, Evan and Seth run into Becca and Jules at the mall. After an awkward conversation about the mistakes of the previous night, Seth takes Jules to get cover up for her eye, while Evan takes Becca off to look for a replacement comforter for Jules. The two guys take a long, private look at each other before they part ways with their new friends.

    2007's best comedy

Very funny film. My favorite parts are the McLovin scenes and his cop buddys. Crude humour but still funny.
