Another movie that was a favourite for me growing up. Just watched it for the first time in probably ten years and it was PHENOMINAL! They don't make 'em like they used to--this is truly a family movie (not some egocentric movie about some punk kid saving the world while rebelling against the establishment).
One of my favorite films as a kid, it still holds up pretty well all those years later. It's not quite as great as 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA but it's still a lot of fun. Of course, there is the expected racist and sexist mindset of a 60s Disney film and some hilariously bad science--dig how this island in the South Pacific is home to animals from Asia, Africa, and South America--but if you can get past that, it's definitely worth watching.
James MacArthur and Janet Munro are amazing in this film. The chemistry between the characters is great and the action is outstanding. Disney at its best!!
a disney animal farm with a girl in it disguised as a man... who looked better in her boy clothes than the dress. john mills was in it... so you may be thinking that's a pro... but it's the only thing positive about it. there's some really dumb pirates about... i guess janet munro was a bit pretty in a tomboy way. meh... and i guess seeing random animals running around that add nothing to the plot was a bit amusing
This movie just wasn't that great to me... maybe because it's old and I'm not in the mood to watch an old movie. It was my first time seeing someone ride a zebra too.
one of my all time favorite family classics. i must have watched this film no less than 20 times when i was a kid. ultimatley it is rediculously over the top, but its fun and adventurous like few other films. great flick.
This is my favorite version of the Robinson story, with a steller cast, beautiful sets and great direction. Loved every moment of this movie. An exceptional blend of humor and adventure.
this movie is a very good but old movie.
i like that they get to live on a island with no one around but also so they get back to what life was all about.
A confusing number of different animals from different continents - I've no idea where in the world they were supposed to be. Really dated but good because of that!
so many things bug me about this movie. it's a cute idea. pretty little place they have on the island. but it's sexist (have you noticed how the only things the mother does are cook and sew?) and too unbelievable for me. (they create running water? yeah right) and it drags on. by the middle, I just wanted it to be over with. there's more... but basically, I think it sucks and shouldn't be a classic.
I just loved it from the first time I saw it! It's funny, it's thrilling and it has a lots of unusual animals in it and it's so loveuble! I really hope you can buy/see it in Sweden soon!
