Madden also hopes to rekindle the flames of romance with his ex-fiancee, Ordway's daughter Corinna (Dorothy Malone). The tension lies not in whether or not Madden will get what he wants but whether or not he can be dissuaded from becoming a murderer--and, by extension, a fugitive for the rest of his life.
