I recall reading an article about TAMARA in a horror magazine (either Rue Morgue or Fangoria...) which promised the film would be chock full of splatterific gore and lots of sex and nudity. Guess what? I WASN'T!!!
Much like THE TRIPPER, the gore was minimal and not all that well done. The sex was on the level of a made-for-cable film. Yawn...
Also, to me Jenna Dewan was much hotter as the pre-death, geeky Tamara. Maybe that's just me, though...
Great movie. I saw it on FEARnet. It was scary but it was really fun movie to watch. Even though she was doing the bad stuff the other people deserved what they got. Really good movie.
Tamara stars Jenna Dewan as an unattractive high school student who is bullied and tormented by other students. She lives with her alcoholic father and practices witchcraft. She also has a crush on her English teacher (who is married by the way to the school's guidance councellor). Tamara is "killed" during a prank gone horribly wrong and comes back from the grave as a sexy siren who wants and gets revenge. This movie was actually very good and creepy. It gives a whole new meaning to - hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil. Very well done.

Not scary nor funny at all. Ridiculously cliché'd, and suffers from bad acting from its lead, Tamara is a DTV title that will never be more than a DTV title.
Tamara is the "ugly" girl that the popular kids don't like. So what do they do? They decide to mess with her. This ends up in her death. But wait! She comes back from the dead and is super sexy.
We have all seen those teen movies were a pretty girl used to be an ugly girl. This one adds the fact that she was a witch and cast a spell right before her death. Now she kills people with a touch.
It was an ok movie. Nothing really special. The lead actress was very attractive, but I would watch it again just for her.
I have this Movie and I reccommend that Every Witch Out there see it. Its awesome when Tamara does that Love Spell. That gives me ideas. Lol. I also love when Tamara comes back to Life how she just goes after all the Mean people who killed her. I love the Way she gets her revenge. Im into The whole been messed- with-get-back-at Storys. Lol. Because its so True. Awesome awesome movie.
An actually pretty good movie, if CW made horror movies, this would be one of them. My wife even enjoyed it, which is saying ALOT. For the record, theres, no nudity, and some "duh" dialogue moments but at least one very inventive death scene (poor A/V nerd guy) keeps the movie interesting and moving at a fast pace.
Don't go out of your way to see it, unless you are really, really interested...
The film lacks any shocks or suspense synonymous with horror movies... and the script wasn't all that either...
I'd give this 5 out of 10...
This movie had a very 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' feel to it, but it had a different way that the villain got her victims. Bonus points for including the hottest horror villain I've seen to date.
This movie was available on the movie network for me, so I decided to give it a shot. It turned out to be a really good horror film. The lead actress is one beautiful girl.
